5 years later and still wishing this was a feature XD

How many votes does it take to get a feature request approved by Orion?

Hey @"joshua.pinpin" - I finally fixed this issue. I was able to reference the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.dll file in a temp folder on my server. I copied this into the new SolarWinds Oracle path and ran oraprovcfg.exe against it. After that, my Oracle polling worked. Here are the steps: 1.…

Thank you for posting - take an upvote! :) Is there any way you could please write this process out into more specific steps for the user community? I am unable to reference C:\oraclient.

They're still acting up, returning "unknown". I'm working with FW teams to open up ports so I can push agents to them and will let you know if this resolves. SW support hasn't been any help in resolving and keep sending me outdated support articles lol.

@"jasonclair" - I was able to resolve this for a few monitors by exporting / re-importing the monitor. This creates a new monitor in SolarWinds, which I assume points to the new Oracle .NET path (wherever that is). This seemed to resolve all monitors that were on top of nodes being monitored by an agent, but hasn't fixed…

The saga continues: It looks like the 2022.3 upgrade wiped (or moved) the "C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\APM" path in my SolarWinds install. @"jasonclair" - is this also the case for you? SolarWinds documentation doesn't cover what the new Oracle path is and how to install the drivers properly. All of the…

Take my upvote for contributing to the thread! Sorry to hear that you're dealing with the same thing! We're still having issues too and this problem is not completely resolved for us either. SolarWinds support recommended I re-install the Oracle .NET framework on our polling server. I'm doing this tonight and will let you…

Wow, Thwack is a lonely place sometimes! Here's the answer (good karma please come my way): The 2022.3 upgrade changes the location of the Oracle .NET data providers on the polling servers, therefore, all "old" monitors that were made before the upgrade will be pointing to the old Oracle path. The solution is to export…

4 months on this and you're the first response - I'm not getting my hopes up! If you find a work around - let's keep each other posted.

Hi sum_giais - I appreciate your response. It turns out that running the config wizard properly installed the cert / URL across the board for our Orion instance. Where I was confused, as you mentioned, was the menu/dashboard URL configurations. These don't get updated when you run the config wizard, so you have to manually…

Thank you for your helpful responses

Hi Kelly - in my situation, I found that I had initially imported these as ICMP and had to to set the “status and response time” to SNMP since we submitted the FCR to open SNMP specific ports. I went ahead and changed my hosts from ICMP to SNMP and now everything is showing as "Up".

So, as long as we have a SolarWinds agent running on the node, we don't need to configure WinRM for remote Powershell on that node?
