This is currently available in the SAM 6.5 Beta. You can access it from the Server & Application Monitor space and clicking on beta.

It is definitely on our radar, but as with everything else on our roadmap we are unable to comment or commit to timeline. Please feel free to reach out to me offline and let me know what your specific requirements are. There is also the option to create a customer template to monitor elements of your Lync/Skype server(s).

I know we would not have posted any details of that nature in a blog post. This feature was in a stage of user research but was re-prioritized based on ongoing user feedback. We hope to deliver it, at a later date.

All features requests are taken into consideration and prioritized, but we cannot provide timeline for implementation.
