Got it right after waiting to answer until it was clarified. I think the addition to one of the answer choices Wendy mentioned is the key here.
-
Oh no. He's gonna be whining about his VPN access next. "Hey, I can't find my Cisco Any-thingy icon anywhere!!"
-
Yeah, while KITT would have been a cool add Spock is definitely superior.
-
Yeah, I think something is actually wrong now. They eliminated the correct answer which would make selecting all of them appropriate. If that got it wrong then I don't know what you're supposed to do.
-
There is only one answer and, if we think about what tools such as those SolarWinds offers are designed to do, it's pretty apparent.
-
Happy to help. Just nice I happened to remember ... although I'm sure someone else would have got it if I forgot.

It is my firm wish to never, ever have to deal with PCI compliance again. One week I'd be working 2pm to 10pm, the next 7am-4pm and the next 4am to noon. Those end times, of course, were hardly ever accurate. I had to meet with a VP daily to go through every single change request that my department had (and I was not…

My first "adult" job was putting windows together in a factory. Not placing the glass into the frames, actually placing the panes on spacers. My line was a manual one meaning we did it all by hand and, since it was the manual line, we made 'em as big as 50" or so by 100" or so. Fun times. Well, after needing stitches a few…

I don't know what happened this month:
-
For our DoD friends:
-
Not super pumped about these questions. Dr Who answers? Meh, let's get back to the product, please.
-
They do four full weeks. Won't be up until Monday.
-
Well I'm going to do my part and vote Groot to try and end this Star Wars silliness. Man, it really feels like I'm voting in an American election. The best candidates either weren't included (Spock) or were pushed out by fanatical voices (Morty, Watson, etc).

This herring appears to be red. Take heed, fellow Thwacksters.

Good point. The only thing blocking SMB internally is gonna do beyond perimeter blocking is prevent already infected devices from propagating the ransomware. Head it off at the pass and you won't need to worry about what killing SMB1 is gonna do to your legacy apps.
-
Dammit, jumped the gun and missed it. I guess it's my turn to complain ... but I won't. Cuz there's no need. EDIT: ... and I just looked at it again. Whooo boy, do I feel like a not so smarty pants right now, lol.
-
That's why I went with the acronym option. I figured I had less chance of fat fingering three letters than three words.
-
I guessed the first time, got it wrong. Saw the reset with the new hint and ... guessed again. Got it right the second time, though. Sheesh.
-
NP. I took my time with this one as well. Kind of a thinker.
-
I'm not sure how well that would really work. I mean, if it's monitoring Skynet it won't really be of help when Skynet goes all Skynet - it's just a monitor, no? So if you make it capable of preventing Skynet from going all Skynet when it's monitoringness determines Skynet is about to go all Skynet then you've just created…

I think the biggest hint is in the question itself. That said, I have to agree that there's nothing specifically said about automatic config backups. It's danced around a bit but I don't recall a direct statement (that said, I am only half awake at the moment).
-
Yeah guys, the challenge doesn't care what you think. But seriously, take that out of the equation. The question is looking for the answer the hint provides (er ... possibly in the third paragraph).
-
Yeah, DT was one of my firsts and I just didn't get into it. After that, though, I've had a ton of awesome triples and quadrupels.
-
So on Friday I got the question wrong, it was reset and then I got it right. I pop in today and it's reset. So ... why? I mean, ultimately it didn't mean anything because the question was super easy this time and I had another red X anyway but had I not missed an earlier question I would have (I think) been eliminated from…

Who is the "Janeway" you speak of? Star Trek ended with DS9.
-
I remember trying to get a ROC for PCI 3.0 at a company I used to work for. There was a substantial amount of investment required to achieve compliance as our advisers interpreted the rules and our environment. Like, brand new Palo Alto 5050s for internal firewalling and some Cisco 6807s for aggregation - plus some new…

Unfortunately when we get to demo questions we sometimes have to post more information in order to help our friends at the DoD participate. That said, I can see how my last image could have absolutely been seen as giving too much away due to pointer placement. I have therefore removed it. My apologies.

I'm from northeastern Ohio so whisky, growing up, was the Canadian stuff. I've also had plenty of bourbons over the years (I'm partial to Blanton's) but, for whatever reason, I'm just not as into it anymore. The new oak barrels add a sweet character that I'm not as fond of as I once was and the spirit seems less ...…

... and this is why resetting correct answers is maybe not a good idea.

Even though it was pretty obvious who was gonna win from the get-go it was still a lot of fun to debate and try my best to stop the furball from attaining his destiny. The only bad part? We gotta wait until next year to do it again! I think what we saw was a result of including a character with a popularity level way, way…
