Hello. Currently only custom properties will show up in the popup. They are however static (like a text or a number) and not really interactive* (like showing the time of last boot). This still a popular feature request: *Via the alerting feature you can have the "change custom property" as a trigger action and thus change…

Do you want to know how to create such report?

Could you please follow the steps outlined here: Clicking Database Details in the Orion Web Console generates an error - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Shouldn't that work then create a ticket requesting Tech Support from SolarWinds. I've seen cases were a small sql query to grant view permissions fixed it as…

It might not had to do anything with permissions. Usually when that error shows up after a fresh installation or an upgrade it just needs a few minutes or a repair/rebuild of the website: Orion Web Console error: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object against OrionWeb.SWTab.FilterTabs - SolarW… Error: Object…

Hello Jens. Are you using custom pollers for your firewall device as seen in my screenshot? You can check that at All Settings -> Manage Pollers Best regards, Steffen
-
Hello. When you set an application template to being unmanaged then you wouldn't get any stats for that specific application but you would still know how the server is doing, like hardware health, cpu & memory & volume utilisation - unless you put the server into unmanaged mode as well. Best regards, Steffen
-
Hello. You are correct. You can check how much of your license are being used by checking NCM Settings -> Node Licensing and there at NCM, current number of nodes Best regards, Steffen Gutzeit

You can move subnets around within a hierarchy group (folder). So when you have your subnets imported they should show up under IP Networks / Imported Subnet. Within that folder you can create your supernet and drag & drop your subnets in it like in my example where I moved my 10.10.154.1/32 into the supernet. Best…

Hello. I had that as well in my test environment. Don't know exactly what fixed this but I know at one stage I stopped & restarted all services, ran a repair job for the database and I think my license was actually expired for SAM. (Might sound silly but please also check the node/server that you are not just polling via…

Hello Rehan. When you want to not only check whether a website responds or not then you'd be looking at at this Web Performance Monitor module instead of SAM: Website Monitoring Software | SolarWinds Best regards, Steffen

What mesverrum said, in order to customise views you'll need Orion admin rights. So the only way to do it now is to configure individual views - like 1 for east admins and another one for west admins - and ask them what they want to see. Example of limiting views in the screenshot, where I created an "Intern" user,…

Hi Martin, I would use groups. So you put all devices that are part of the site into a group: Create groups There you'll see the individual status of each device/node and also the general group / site status on a glance. Adjust the group's rollup mode to suit your needs: Status Rollup Mode in the Orion Platform Best…

Hello. When you automatically delete your files then your disk space usage will never reach 100%. But you could create alerts warning you for example when there is less then 5% free space left or less then 300gb left so your admins can make sure that the automatic file deletion is still working. Here are the stats you can…

What you could do in order to prevent wrong values to be entered is to manually review the changes by setting up the config change approval

Hello. Could you have a look at your alert settings please, especially the "reset condition" and the "trigger action"? Default alert for a node reboot is to send an email and to create an event and it is set to be reset every 84 seconds. Best regards, Steffen
-
Hello. What is it that you intend to do? Should you want to have an email as the alert trigger action then yes you can add a custom variable for the email's subject. Best regards, Steffen
-
Hello. There are likely various ways to achieve this. Here is my logic I'd use where you have the top 25 utilised interfaces but filter so that you'll only see the ones that actually receive flow data. Or you could filter by device type, group or even your own custom property. Best regards, Steffen Gutzeit
-
Hello. I believe there is no way of NCM accessing a file, getting the IP, knowing what device it belongs to and then executing the config change. What can be done is to create a "job" where you select the nodes where you want to change the configs and then you can load your script from the file. If you are into automation…

Hi Scott, When looking at physical ports instead of interfaces you are better of with the module called User Device Tracker. It even has a preconfigured report showing ports that aren't being used and the last time they've been active:…

Hello. You could use "groups" or create reports or custom charts in order to combine multiple sources and to aggregate their values like in my example where I'm displaying the cpu load by percentage of 4 different servers combined: Best regards, Steffen

That could have to do with the version number as your build looks to be 6.5 U2. According to SolarWinds' list only 6.5 U1 and 6.7 would be fully supported: Supported versions of VMware, Hyper-V, and Windows Server for monitoring - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support

Hello. Do you have NPM or SAM in use? If so you should be able to see lots of hypervisor info without the paid VMAN: Monitor virtual infrastructure Best regards, Steffen

Hello. I tried but failed as it found the previous 2 lines when using the asterisk (10.*). What might work but I have no experience with is using Regular Expression to create a rule instead of looking for Strings. Best regards, Steffen

Hello. I don't know myself but the G200, 400, 600 and 700 model is supported. Chances are that the G900 will work too. SRM: Enable a HDS onboard SMI-S provider - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Best regards, Steffen

Hello Tobias, You might be requesting too much data to be displayed on or web console. Example: A) you have 5 widgets on your view and load the data for the last 24h -> website will take 0.5sec to load B) you have 10 widgets and load data for last 3 months -> website takes 8sec to load now Cheerio, Steffen

Hello. When creating a job and you have it generating a log as a file, can you view that then? That worked for me and opening the html file (log) looks like this: Best regards, Steffen
-
Hello. When you review the jobs via "edit" you can have Orion send you a log of what it did when the jobs were run. Best regards, Steffen

Hello. Network Operations Manager was discontinued. Network Automation Manager (+ its Application Centric Monitor bundle) price is best discussed with one of SolarWinds Sales Reps, especially should you already own HA, additional polling engine or some of the included modules. Best regards, Steffen

Hello ***, You mean that error there? Check out the assigned credentials via clicking on the "Edit Application Monitor" button please. After that have a look at the required permissions as seen here: AppInsight for SQL requirements and permissions - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Best regards, Steffen

Hi Gareth, Hardware stats are polled every 10min (default setting) so you should see your temperature as well as cpu/ram utilisation being updated in Perfstack regularly. Can you see updated stats on the node details page? Best regards, Steffen Gutzeit
