I like your prioritization, and like many, we moved to NCM from ciscoworks, and have this one feature lagging. It would be nice to see users collected from a Domain controller or other, but I consider this a very low priority. Most of what we're trying to do is find hosts for troubleshooting purposes or planning switch…

quite a few people do. Right now, support is telling us "they're working on it" and we should just disable eigrp alarming if this is a problem.

That would work very well, and be a huge improvement. The one thing i would add is that there is a config change "report" showing all changes.... could we also add an option to not include "no change" devices to that as well? Thanks much! mark

I don't think anyone's asking not to support ISIS, or to only support cisco protocols. The first release of the routing protocol support was open protocols, which makes sense. Some of us do run EIGRP, and we're looking for support there. Also, while ISIS is the underlying function in fabric networks, it's not exposed as a…

+1 for EIGRP +1 for UnDP -- we do an awful lot with it, and we are sometimes challanged by the inability to cross two tables and then filter results before displaying. For example, since NXOS 6.2 is out, we can now monitor some of the internet details like multicast drops or control plane policing, but we need to be able…

related to unmanage improvements: I'd like a node unmanage to also automatically ignore syslog or snmp traps from that host too. Also, I'd like a syslog/trap ignore: There are some alerts we generate off of syslog or traps. For example, EIGRP up/down messages via Syslog are still more timely than polled router status via…

Unicast discards are marked and entered into ifInDiscards/ifOutDiscards as normal, but that's inclusive of all drops not per class. Multicast discards are only accessible via cli commands such as "show queueing int" or "sh platform fwm info pif all". They are not recorded in ifIn/OutDiscards at all! In 5.x code, discards…

We had similar concerns- triggered mostly because a network outage prevented our email -> SMS alerts from making it to the internets. We went to a service like Knowledge Front Network Monitoring . It's an offsite monitoring solution, and can monitor hosts & email availability. For a few bucks a month ($10 per probe), we…

I'm glad to hear that out of the box hw monitoring is coming. It's been a challenge sometimes to do that, we do it with a combination of syslog and UnDP tables and alarms. I'd like to ask for an enhancement to the "tabular view" for UnDP as well. Specifically, I'd like to be able to put in a column filter. Example: We'd…

I do this via the syslog alerting for BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF. In the case of BGP: * create a new rule, name it * Under the Message tab, set the "message type pattern" to "BGP-5-ADJCHANGE" (for cisco) * Under alert action, have it send an email to the right group with the info.
