  • I think there should be more integration between IPAM and NPM, a device added to NPM should prompt for IPAM polling and vice versa, allowing the details to be cross referenced

  • v_andrewj hit it on the nose, I mean seriously, ping? I know SW is a for profit business but i feel ping which can be chosen as an option to alert if there is no smnp, should be tweakable to open a cmd window without having to dig deeper into your wallet.
  • I know this is an insanely old post but i'm not sure if this was ever solved or available as a new feature. I am still trying to alert for bouncing circuits, is there a way to somehow create a rule for if node down = >3, in minutes = < 20 then send alert.

  • Hi Sola, If you are able to go to report writer on the Solarwinds server you can create a report and filter by: Node Name is equal to DFW11gw Interface Name is equal to Fe4 add one for each node and interface and for time frame select 12 Months as shown below .
  • have you tried creating an action rule under processes? I am testing this now with an action rule "subject contains is UP", action change status to closed. that is only half of the solution i think, you might still need to send an "is up " alert to web help desk.
