Hi Oscar, although not directly supported until the next version, you can have multiple files when creating a package in the current version. If requires some manual copying of files to the eminentware server in the packages\<office_package_id> directory. This will package the contents of the entire folder. To create a…

True. In my particular case, I’m already seeing a lot of systems with this update that’s Not Approved, as this process was not really managed before.

Also, you can check the version information on the EminentWare System Configuration\EminentWare Servers and then select the server and go to file details. The version for EW-CDS-004 is 1.40.126.0

I have updated to v1.72.218.2 and the problem looks like it has been partially resolved. I can reboot the server and the service starts automatically. I still need the service set to Automatic (Delayed Start) though. My other problem remains where I have a very slow refresh of information, and a timeout when I try to view…

This is a Java Package as provided by Eminent Ware (Our SCCM Administrator downloaded the bits from Sun, Eminentware created the metadata/package). I deleted the Policy keys from the registry and the system no longer showed as compliant and WSUS deployed the Java 6u23 update. Not sure why but the Policy key seems to…

The newest update (1.71.201.0 at the time of this writing) is available on our Product Downloads page. To apply it you'd want to close any open Consoles, apply the Update Only patch to your EminentWare PAS (Primary Application Server), then to any additional server Roles you may have running, then to any remote Consoles…

On one server, in the event viewer: EventID:16 Unable to Connect: Windows is unable to connect to the automatic updates service and therefore cannot download and install updates according to the set schedule. Windows will continue to try to estabish a connection. The second note of interest... this message almost always is…

EminentWare will be recieving a private hotfix from MS shortly and we hope to have a publicly available update for this issue from MS soon. When the update is released, it will need to be applied to the EminentWare server.

Done that already. Nevermind, I may just suck at life. Looks like I se the group up and enabled auto approval, however I never approved the first 2000+ patches for it. I just approved them and will see if it fixes it. Have to run to a meeting and I will update.

The issue reported in March appears to have been a complication with the installation of SQL Server itself. We were unable to reproduce the issue presented in that post. To the best of our knowledge, the only additions required to a SQL Server 2008 installation are the two listed in the first post of this thread, to wit:…

I am still in the process of finalizing the package via eminentware. It seems I can run the package from a network share and it seems to install fine without command line switches. When I publish the same package from eminentware it seems to not read SOME of the .msp file. The shortcuts show up just fine and other items…

This particular error occured to me today as a result of the Update for Windows Server Update Services 3.0 SP2 on Windows 2003, Windows 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 (KB2720211). This may have reset some of those existing registry keys as was pointed out. This update was released on the 8th which explains why it happened…

When I run it from a command line, I use msiexec /i <package.msi> /quiet /norestart From what I am seeing in the options, I leave the "/quiet /norestart" out

Under management groups -> Automation server routing Rules. If i add a "configmgr site server rule" by adding the child primary site to an Automation server will the clients reporting to that child primary all report to the Automatiion Server with inventory? Or does Inventory ends back in the Primary Application server?

I too am getting a failed synchronization with the eminentware updates catalogue. It started 26th of Feb. I am with DSHS in Austin, TX. Thanks, Doug Harris

Uninstalling and re-installing corrected the issue with the registry key but it continues to show up as needing installed and all the items you requested are showing up correct. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Oopss.. I make this mistake all of the time... the 'and' option won't actually work in this manner because Display Name can only have one value in each row, so there will never be a case where both options will return rows. In order to get just the rows with both option, what you'll need to do is build an Aggregate on…

Thanks again for your help. I guess during the initial install I didn't realize I had to install the WSUS console. After I downloaded the above and installed it everything seems to be working. Jeff

Thanks David, I've just placed it in the WsusContent folder and accessed it via Http. I'm going to use that option instead of potenially opening a security hole via anon logon. Cheers.
