Thanks for answering Sean. I have made that registry change on a test system that has Java 6u22 installed. When I create a WSUS deployment of Java 6u23 to that system, it just reports that it is compliant and does not update. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?

Hi UKTonyK, sorry you are having issues. When is this error occuring? Is this during installation or after installation when bringing up the EminentWare console for the first time? Also, can you give us a little information on the OS version where you have installed EminentWare? It may be quicker for us to directly have a…

After further investigation, I don't see Adobe Reader updates listed in the Computer Update Status report at all. Other 3rd party updates (Mozilla Firefox, Quicktime, WinZip) do appear in this report, so I don't understand why the Adobe updates don't appear. They don't show up in the report regardless of if they are…

These are Microsoft patches, all 57/58 of them. Thing is, that these patches have all installed an an exact same server, with exact same OS and applications installed, with no failures. OK, back to the drawing board.

I have done the update, yet I am still unable to publish 3rd party as before. When I run the Server Publishing Verification Wizards I get the following: Exception occured at ... : A duplicate object was found and cannot be added to the results. The object key was... root/ Exception occured at ... : A duplicate object was…

Hi John, I am having the same problem. Some OUs in the same domain work fine some do not without setting the Preferred DC setting. Even after setting the Preferred DC I am still getting the same error. Thanks.

Lukas, We do not support wild card searches for inventory. Depending on the search this could cause quite a bit of network and hard drive activity. This is probably best accomplished with and custom script execution which we are looking possibly adding in version 1.8. Thanks, Sean

Good Morning Lawrence, i am trying right now "server Publishing Verification Wizard" on both wsus servers and eminentware gave me this error " The selected WSUS server does not have a signing certificate for publishing provisioned. The verification process cannot continue". I checked the certificate and on both servers are…

Hi Lawrenc, Thank your for your speedy reply! Apologies I did not make it clear that I was talking about adobe Acrobat X Pro...not Reader. However im assuming what you said above can be applied to Acrobat Pro as well? I tried updating Acrobat Pro from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3 but the update was stated as not applicable. I was only…

Thank you Lawrence - I knew it was probably an RTFM kind of deal :-) Much appreciated. Casey

Is there any way to script the publishing wizard?
-
Is there any further word on this? It is really banging the heck out of the Security event logs on everything it communicates with. Is everyone having this issue and it's really a non-issue? Have to keep explaining to security why we are getting so many audit failures with this software. Thanks, Richard

The file version with registry check was in fact the first method I attempted to use - there is nothing needed for the sub path value and leaving it blank throws a not very useful error. On reviewing the WinZip package it looks like I can use a ..\Skype.exe in order to achive my goals. Many thanks.
-
Thanks Phil, that seems to have taken care of it.
-
Odd, it states "Files not downloaded (ready for installation)" Is there a way to force it to download? I did a forced sync yesterday. I also did another sync from wsus and it has not changed.
-
Cheers for that.

Please open a ticket via the Customer Portal and we will setup a online meeting to have a look.

Thanks for the link, it was very helpful. Discovered we were running into UAC on the Windows 7 systems. Trying to run the 'net use' command was kicking back a System Error 5, along with an Access Denied message. After a little looking around, I found a link that allowed us to disable UAC for remote logins for local…

I'm new to Eminentware. I have GPO set to option 4-Install and Update. How do I use Eminentware to surpress the reboot? Do I need to create an Eminetware package (.upd) in order to get all updates surpress the reboot? I've been testing for a week now. I can't get a pattern how to make Eminentware to work. It seems like…

Ibrahim, You can relocate the user profile and AppData directory in Windows to point to an alternate location. There are forum posts on the internet that can assist you in doing this. As for as the EminentWare\Server\Packages directory this content cannot be relocated. (I have entered a Feature Request for this). To help…

Just for closure. The proxy error was my mistake, and once I had turned off the fake proxy we use on Servers to stop people browsing from them, everything started working. many Thanks for the prompt response.

I verified everything and everything was correct except for the registry key is missing.
