On your Orion web page. You need to a Network Map Resource to a page.
-
Forgot I had selected the option to hide that link on all of my maps. Thank you
-
Custom icons were fixed recently so that is a plus but missing these note fields takes a big part of the mapping feature away.

I would like to disable node down alerts between 8:00Pm and 11PM or when Netbackup job is running ( the network looses conenctivity for a short while when backups run causing node down alert)
-
Yes, I thought about this as well but even after disabling it I had the same issue. If I add the device using my main polling engine. Then switch it to the secondary poller it works fine
-
I ended up using a RSS widget creator online and just embedding the html into orion. But I appreciate your response

we do not use that alert, however we run a daily report to show our helpdesk who is running out of space. It gives them the percent used metric. The problem is they looked at the report and it said the above users were only @ 88% full so they didn't worry about contacting them yet. aLTeReGo Can we adjust the settings so it…

is this still in the works?

This is a great start! Thank you for sharing
-
Great thank you.
-
Thank you. I thought the host had to be managed via snmp inorder to monitor netflow. Turns out i just needed to add it as external. Thank you for your help!
-
I got it setup in PRTG. (We use PRTG as a backup monitoring to SW) But Solarwinds requires that extra switch to be a proxy and it just becomes messy.

When windows updates are applied using configmgr, the windows updates templates do not work. Nevermind. The template from Alterego does detect the reboot pending. However, node inventory details are not accurate when patching with ConfigMGR. not that this has anything to do with the original post Sorry.

Bummer, Ok thank you typhoon87

thank you!

Hi , It takes about 4.5 minutes from start of app to opening of a user while using the mobile client, (this actually seemed faster then it usually runs) using the web it took about 2 minutes.
-
But someone from department a can still do a search and find department b's tickets right? That's what I am trying to avoid.
-
Great thanks typhoon87
-
thanks for sharing this. These real world examples are my favorite. I am no longer in an environment with Splunk but others will benefit for sure.
-
I'd be interested in keeping up with what you or others are doing with it. I'll do the same
-
They are indeed endless yet at the same time I'm lost as to what data i want to display
-
I do have it setup and working. I was just hoping others could tell me what they were doing with it or share their dashboards.
-
It has 3 data input options Solarwinds Query -Queries the SW database. Solarwinds Alerts- This seems to be events not so much actual alerts. Still looking into Solarwinds Node Inventory.- Gather node info using api.
-
it is indeed sir. Sorry Should have explained it (to many things going on at once) anyways this is what I am prompted with when trying to deploy certain Patch Manager updates via sccm.
-
not that I am aware of. I have been using it all morning. Maybe they just constantly go into warning? I guess if there was a way to not log these as events that would solve my issue.
-
Darn, well thank you for checking
-
That would be fine, we just want to monitor the growth of multiple DBs on one page. Which resource should I choose to view this info? I found The Custom Object Resource may help me but I am getting the following error when Trying to use "Database Details" : "There was an error while rendering resource with ID ####"

Ok, this is what I am doing now. Just wanted to verify I wasn't missing something. Also, thank you @cahunt for explaining your above answer I was confused as to how that would help my situation.

This is an option which works for the screens displaying maps, but not for any screen that displays text.
