WHERE CP = TRUE or WHERE CP = 'Your data'

There is no "option". Just leave the drop down on Nodes and type in an IP address. You don't have to put the entire IP in either. For example, if you're looking for a certain range, you can type in just the first 2 or 3 octets and get a variety of search results.

haha....Sorry ebradford I did not mean to hijack this thread. Just griping about my current challenge. It's one of those nagging tasks I can't easily locate so it gets placed on the backburner over and over again.

Use jm_sysadmin's query. It works.
-
Yeah I knew that was there, but for larger environments (such as the one I work in), it's a lot easier to have a direct URL to custom reports that isolate specific things I want to see.
-
Check this link out. You can use SWQL to write custom reports that suit specific needs you may have. Maybe someone will come along and suggest something better for this purpose. I'm sure that would be helpful to a newbie like myself as well. SWQL Functions · solarwinds/OrionSDK Wiki · GitHub

I'm somewhat of a newbie still but I wrote a report looking for configtable.nodeid being null. Note that you'll have to specify which types of devices you want to include, or ignore.
-
This report helped me tremendously. Thank you. That got me a vast majority!
-
No sir...very good point. I had not considered that possibility (I inherited this inventory). I've modified my report to only include NCM enabled. 113 total now. No, not all type devices are listed. These are mostly Cisco ASA's, Catalyst switches, and routers. The only devices that give me anything back are "some" of the…

Thanks for sharing your experience. I don't think this will work for us, as the error was still generated in a test earlier today.
-
So you are saying that you've removed the unknown i/f's (via Manage Nodes), and then added them again (via List Resources) and they remain in an unknown state?
-
When I was adding our instance, it did something similar (I can't remember if it was this exact problem) and I had to uninstall the app, and then reinstall it for some reason (on the ServiceNow side).
-
You can already do this by using Dynamic Selection on the Choose Nodes part of the job. Just select IP Address in the drop down and add them all.
-
Concur.

I don't use SQL for my reports, but use SWQL instead. I think what you're looking for would be under Orion.NMP.Interfaces under Speed. If I'm understanding your question, you're looking for what the devices currently have configured for bandwidth, not what is configured manually in the interface details page.

That was my next step lol. I thought he was trying to use the GUI so that was my starting point.
-
FWIW, I would be cautious on implementing this. I've had a case opened with SolarWinds for quite some time now because our subcategories will not populate from the integration on the SW side. So it will work, but the categories and subcategories are effectively broken until it's fixed. This happened after the ServiceNow…

There have been several posts on this but this one provides a list: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/NPM-Discussions/What-exactly-does-Rediscovery-accomplish/m-p/261030/highlight/true#M78255 And my understanding is that when a host name is inherited as the node name and it is not changed, that it actually DOES update when…

I would think you'd need to message someone like @"yumdarling" about this.
-
I have an alert setup for a certain number type device being down, but it's a static number. I'd be very interested in making this dynamic though if that's possible.
-
Bookmarked and following! Thanks for sharing. I noticed you're using Trello in the background too....my task board is known as "the abyss" atm lol
-
I think you'd have to do 2 different alerts with 2 different times specified in the trigger conditions.

My "work" office doubles as my home gym, guitar room, library and "home" office. I don't keep a messy environment but I don't take extra precautions before meetings either. There are times though, when I keep the camera off, but seeing the office isn't one of them.

I noticed some weird behavior at first where it just refused to work. The only thing that solved it was completely removing the app from SN and then reinstalling it. Not sure if that would help your specific problems, but maybe give it a shot?
-
Thanks for putting this together. Bookmarked!

I'm in the same boat. I also have some things that have not been added.
