Thanks RichardLetts where would I be using that script? and due to my lack of knowledge within the area, does this change all Status and Response Polling on Agent Polling Nodes from Agent to ICMP?

Thank you. The zoom only works if all the NOC screens need the zoom. In my case, only this page of the NOC has a small resolution.
-
This is an awesome dashboard. N00b question - how do I change the name of the columns to something anyone can understand? Sorry, not great with queries,.... Also, any chance someone knows how to zoom in on the table, displaying this on a 50" screen is unreadable as part of NOC.

Thanks, I have bookmarked here before so removed and re-added, also bookmarked another for good measure Not sure it has worked though

Hi maria.bungau I need task 6, but have bookmarked most the site (or it feels like it) I must be doing something wrong :-s
-
Technically, no we wouldn't be leaving Europe. Brexit (god I hate that!) is about leaving the EU. Not Europe.
-
It would be useful seeing the tasks remaining rather than just an empty bar, I know it has been said before but despite carrying out all the tasks I haven't completed... maria.bungau Love the idea of the group btw.

Now that I have a method in which to create a nw Menu Bar and use it, extra points to the Thwacker that tells me how to change the name of the tab... New Menu Bar created and in use, I am using the "Toolset" menu as no one uses that apart from me. Problem is, it still says Toolset....would like to change it.. ready...go!

Our resolution is as follows - SolarWinds have said the following – When adding Avaya call manager to VNQM, VNQM checks for the presence of this OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.6889.2.8.1.1.13.0 If this is not present, it is likely that the call manager is a load balancer and this is not supported. The 2nd check is that the sysDescr…

Thanks derik.pfeffer BUMP, anyone able to help with this?

Morning , Not sure where you read you need 3 servers, that is not enough for what you have purchased. Core - NPM, SAM, UDT, NCM, NTA (IPAM and NTM is probably ok to go on here too) SQL Server - Orion DB Netflow Storage Server Virtualisation Manager is an appliance So, 3 Windows Servers and the Virtual Appliance that…

If I have misunderstood I apologies, but, you will need to add your Router as a monitored node using SNMP, then within your Interface license for NPM you can monitor those interfaces that the circuit is connected to. This will give you real time utilization and also weather it is up or down along with a whole host of…
-
Not great to view however, if you go in Settings > Manage Nodes you are able to view up to 200 devices in one screen and you can then expand the nodes. This will highlight the interfaces you are monitoring, but its a pain and takes a while. Best bet would be to create a report. alexlakustov NPM allows you to monitor…
-
Support case is best choice, but without maintenance that wont happen. Are you using an Agent to Poll Windows machines? Have a look at the logs within c:\Program Data\Solarwinds Check Task Manager that no business layer process is running at 1.4Gb, that will crash the Orion Module Engine Service.

Hi baneland Yes, I would create a new Application Template using Windows Service Monitors as the component monitor, configure each one using the correct NetService Name, within the additional properties of the template you can specify Agent Based polling. Then apply it to the Node you are wanting to monitor. Bingo. Or at…

You can do it in a week but it will be worthless. Or, do it in a year and it will be awesome. The installation will probably take a day or two, more if you have to build and deploy the servers, plus you have factor in Change Management. Have you got all your pre-requisites, accounts, protocols etc? The initial work is the…

Thank you for your help, I will pass the details to IT Security, they can make the decision and hopefully do the work for me ;-) wluther thanks for the links, I will take a look ecklerwr1 that certainly looks like an option thanks. cobrien if you have chance could you please clarify the points in the post please. Thanks…

Another point I have been thinking about is weather I would get more information from SNMP or WMI. It appears the answer is SNMP but I was wanting clarification if at all possible? Then, I have the lovely task of turning on SNMP v2 for all servers with <= Server 2008 and SNMP v3 on Server 2012 servers. \o/

Question along a similar vein DanielleH when will the Store be able to ship to the UK?
-
Elements are the modules that you have installed from Solarwinds - NPM, SAM, NTA etc...
-
You can do that with User Device Tracker (we are now) Although, why would you report on end user devices for Disk Space? Surely they are all saving to the network share so it is backed up? Even CPU utilisation is a stretch really, its just going to generate a lot of work for very little gain. Have a look at UDT though, it…

There is. Go to Manage Nodes, change the drop down to "Polling Method" then, in the table add in the "Agent-Agent Status Message" column and order the list using this. There you have it, all the WMI nodes with the Agents at the top. Select all of them and multi-edit their properties, change the polling method to "Agent"…
-
Sorry, not got an answer for you chad.white@bwwb.org I have had this issue previously, and not so far come across a fix. I presume you have tried a "rediscover" Other than that, you might need to re-add the node, but doing this will lose the historical data..
-
I would advise you both open a support ticket. I had this, was caused by too many agents registered against a poller. That was my issue. Do you find that RAM usage hits over 1Gb? again, mine crashed at 1.4Gb...

To be honest, I am not sure why you would want to go back to use the application, the web alert manager is far better and much easier to navigate and understand. If you are struggling, Support are very helpful.
-
Can you not just use the normal Service Monitor but within the alert look to use "is not status 'UP'" as this will report if it is in a stopping state. For a specific Hang where it looks like its running, can you not check the process monitor and use that?

smiffy85 is an idiot. Remember folks, open the ports on the firewall or it wont work!
-
Hi @secoya007 You can use the Desktop Notification Tool - Desktop Notification Tool Just install it on the machines you want it to play a sound on. BINGO.

Never had an issue with them, always prompt to respond and usually within 24 hours regardless of the priority. Try this - Tips for Working with Technical Support

You could use the Windows Agent and poll via that? It only has one port open for a secure communication channel with the Poller
