Thanks! That did it. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/951016 The target server is a member of a corporate domain. I was using a local account to avoid having to get a new corporate account for this use. Do you think this hack is likely to get removed by corporate domain policies? The key did not exist. Sky2830

Thanks folks. I was able to create some SQL server statistics using the Wizard. What domain user group membership is required for the SAM Windows credentials in a Server 2003 domain? I do not want to make the service account a domain admin unless I have to. Thx, Sky2830
