Hi That not a "HP Procurve" specific problem. All other vendors expect Cisco ... @"jason.carrier" Is that going to be fix? @"toivo" by the way that HP was not rebooted since 2017
-
Do you mean ZTP like https://packetpushers.net/freeztp/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4wZvtHiyvE
-
Hi @"cashwani333" I will look for Syslog Snmp trap API with SAM All of the above ...”what is your weapon of choice”
-
Hi @"chad.every" I'm not sure ...you dislike your NOC colleagues..?
-
Hi Please add that switch to that thread https://thwack.solarwinds.com/t5/NPM-Discussions/Tell-Us-Your-Unknown-Devices-v2-0/m-p/329384#M105727

Hi @"chad_franks" Are those nodes part of VM cluster? You icmp only the node but the VM integration has delivered CPU state?
-
Hi I use a job to "WR" all the Cisco SW in the network every night. That a push WR to all the cisco devices. + I have a backup job to collect the running config. That will get you covered.
-
Thanks man... "love cisco" It's 50,000$+ router and I not know if the fan is dead... so what can I do to get alarms when hw status has change?
-
@"jason.carrier" Can you share how the PM team got to the conclusion that SD-WAN is “so big” that’s anything else is less important? + How the PM team came to support Viptela V-edge First and not any other in that list? That will be funny to know why... https://packetpushers.net/virtual-toolbox/list-sd-wan-vendors/
-
Hi @"erikpan" You probably need to share what are trying to change... I personally never use the CCT that’s bad network management. There isn’t any control if the device compiled the input and no understanding if the change is needed at all with CCT. Try to take a look on the compliance engine that will at least change…
-
Hi @"cggkevin" There are few reasons why it’s not working... If the main goal is to get the map done.. I will manually add those interfaces.
-
Hi I don’t think you can... Make a feature request and tag the PM That is quite a problem...
-
Hi VNQM er good if you use Avaya & Cisco CM & make sure remote site has good user experience.. If you are not ..it's more what the vendor device will share with NPM custom pollers. I think you could get SNMP OID that tell you how many channel are use on that PRI & SIP from most vendors.
-
Hi Are you trying to do that from NPM or NCM ? If that NCM you should run inventory job that collect L2 info. I'm not sure if that include LLDP remote info.
-
Hi Dez I will say keep it simple .. 1.Let say you have new wireless AP getting connected on many remote offices. I like to use NCM to collect the "show LLDP/CDP or just CLI" that will locate that new vendor AP ports numbers. Build new config change that will replace the port config automatically. I will use the NCM…
-
Hi Yes NCM 2020.2 & much any other NCM version can do that... When you are getting the config backup of the device you can see any changes from previous backup.. You can run compliance report to get to some level of network compliance.

PLZ vote for support to ISIS https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2650#

Hi @"martian_monster" I have 2 discovery jobs “servers production” & “network” The server job looks for WMI device’s on the server subnet To that discovery job that run every day.+run alert with the same name that updates the right CP for servers. Same with the “Network “job just look for SNMP device’s on management VLAN…

work around * Go to the Advanced Configuration global page* Find the setting "LegacyTransferJobCollectorProcessing", checking this option will return the NCM download config jobs processing to NCM 7.9 legacy behavior. * Other work around is enabled the "LegacyTransferJobCollectorProcessing" and…

Hi Make sure that EX has LLDP enable show lldp detail

Hi Dan I understand that NPM is polling some interface statistics.. but the switch counters say something else? 1.I will make sure that NPM is recognizing the interface type and speed (switch with SFP+ That the port can change from 10ge to 1ge) 2.Make sure that you poll at the same interface like xe-0/0/0 & not xe-0/0/0.0…

Hi If I was in that same situation I would start fresh and export what possible... You’re trying to rescue 15 years old deployment please let that dinosaur die ...
-
Hi I will use the compliance engine. The compliance report will tell you where you miss a configuration statement. The bulk “push” Will touch all the nodes sometimes with no need That lab explains how to.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOSPupDFsbg

Hi "Python Automation Integration - We've been working with users on what abilities they would like to have with a possible Python experience within NCM. How does this help users once released and where can it go in the future." I love to know what that mean...
-
Only 7 years...? I think it will take less time...if Cisco will buy 51 % of Juniper... I have FR for Juniper that is older... I think you can tag the PM & ask why ...

Hi Read that part about hardware that NPM support natively https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/orionplatform/Content/Core-Monitoring-Hardware-Health-sw590.htm There is out of the box alert for hardware that changes status. If those devices are not there you could make universal poller. but before you run…
