That feature is "game changer" that will close many HP NNMi servers... like to see that soon..
-
Solarwinds has so much confidence in NPM. Just keep backing that with features support and good customers service.
-
Look at that thread .... https://thwack.solarwinds.com/thread/121861 1.You get the base features and advance alerts integration (that clean out one of the biggest issues with NPM). 2.The full version get Graphics and tagging ...

I have quite "allergy" to vendors owen E/NMS software .. Any how NETCONF support is the what I miss from NCM to flush out Juniper "service-now" permanently from my net so "please with suger on the top" vote Happy days!!
-
Hi Mermel If you combine all the FR that has something to do with improving that area in NPM you will get around 500+votes!!! Its important to keep "nagging" ....this is maybe the biggest challenge I have with Orion platform. I think I found a thread probably from NPM 8.x its 10 years old the question is the same....

Hi I like som "feedback loop" from NCM. that I truly missed.. That could be IF that is now true =show that command" If that was Juniper device I would run "commit check " and dispaly the output. I don't see real validation on what I push "real time" ..

I LOVE the kiwisyslog transparent forwarding feature Thanks for that!! Syslog and Trap Messages are Slowing Down my Monitoring Solution. What Would the Geek Do? - YouTube Explanation with sound effects!!! Please adatole try to push that FR With that in your hand no more "SQL alert digging" just alert on CP change =TRAP…

Yes make a compliance reports that looks for that specific interface with vlan XXX When you have a report that match Then use the remediation part in the end of the rule. Please be careful with the remediation part (test before push it )…

Hi Sound like a function for snmp trap or syslog .. By the way I find alerting the ISIS neighbor status redundant ...because it's directly running on L2 It's good enough to monitor interfaces status specifically if that p2p ISIS between 2 devices...
-
Hi Try to not mixing regx with strings. Don't mix positive and negative in the same search. Clean up that search and look for shutdown interfaces.
-
Hi I will say take @"TerryHarding" advice. Any how NCM is not optimal for that. The lack of feedback/control can be a disaster..
-
Hi @"avivi" Google is a friend :-) thwack.solarwinds.com/.../174616 https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/ncm/content/ncm-command-template-commands.htm
-
Hi You can add the destination as unmange device like 8.8.8.8 just to get alert if Solarwinds can not reach google dns server.
-
Juniper Devices-1.3.6.1.4.1.2636 with show chassis hardware Take a look on that template. That will backup your hardware inventory just like CLI config. The big + is you can search for hardware inventroy and you can see when harware was replaced just like a config change.
-
"Yes you can" You can make a discover job that will add the device/switch You can make alert to add Custom Properties like Site/POP Address SLA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db88hMZz2lc https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/success_center/orionplatform/content/core-automatically-add-discovered-nodes.htm…
-
Hi It could be that you can change some where deep in the advance web setting. If not You need to make a ticket to support and tag it to NPM PM manger...
-
Hi I do not think you will get much out of NCM regard advance firmware updates & compliance. I know something should come with compliance but it still after 5 years feature request.. If you need a strong Checkpoint support take a look on https://backbox.com/ Br Shay
-
@"chad.every" that is very cool as match multi vendor will keep the platform relevant.

We use BGP to control that the path is working on both lines..
