Is this device configured to have it's availability and response times calculated via SNMP? If so, check if you can get to the device from the managing polling engine over SNMP (snmpwalk.exe, found within the SolarWinds install directory, will allow you to do this better than a simple TELNET test on port 161). I expect…

Bit of Threadnomancy here, but have a look at this: Config-Archive cleanup/purge Whilst these were developed for v6, the scripts may still be of use.

Starter for 10: Is LEM and your VCS on the same network? If not, check the necessary firewall ACLs are in place to allow the communication between the two.

Try giving/ensuring that the Orion server itself a client certificate. As the report scheduler runs on the primarty pollier, it'll need to "connect" to the website to push the attachment (if I understand the mechanics of how the report scheduler works correctly). See if that sorts it for you.

The only option I can think of would be to use a script or SQL query to update the names in the nodes.detials table. As the device IP address will remain constant, you could run some form of UPDATE / WHERE combination. You would need have all your nodes in a spreadsheet which induces their IP addresses and the desired…

This would be done through 'Settings>Manage Hardware Sensors'. You'll need to find the specific sensor you want to adjust the thresholds for, and edit it, then override the Orion Thresholds (bottom radio button). Then enter your preferred threshold values.

Interesting one grastyj! I'm not sure where you got that expensive query information from (not a DBA myself), but I'd be willing to have a look at one of my own instances for you, to see if I'm getting the same number of executions/min. Let me know how you got the data and I'll have a look for you!

In the screenshot, the gauge is showing 3.27GB, which is larger than the 2.14, which is the largest integer (moving the decimal place). It appears you are seeing actual usage here, rather than limited by the counter. Assuming the custom poller value the gauge is looking at is looking at the correct OID.

Good morning! Once thing you could try is adjusting the timeouts on the PDF exporter. Take a look at the article below, and see if it can help you: https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Network_Performance_Monitor_(NPM)/Adjust_PDF_timeouts_in_NPM_12 Hope it helps. Let us know how you get on!

I think the main challenge you're going to have, is making SolarWinds aware of a issue with mains power at a remote site. Monitoring a router only will not give you this information, as the device will not have any information on the state of mains, be it available or not. What you're going to need is some way to have a…

Hi raje.vijay@eclinicalworks.com, The top image is from the edit node screen, and those thresholds will only apply to the single node you are editing. The bottom is from the 'Top 10' for memory usage, which looks at every node in your Orion database. For the thresholds to take effect globally, you'll need to edit the…

My advice here would be to get diagnostics from the poller(s) and log a support case. You could try running the Configuration Manager (not the installer for NTA) again, and repair everything, see if that fixes the problem, but I'd log that support call as a CYA exercise. If SolarWinds advises that you do the repair and it…

Hey MathieuJM. This should be possible, using the Custom Object Resource, objects. Create a new summary view, check the box to confirm it is a NOC view, and on your second tab, use these Custom Object Resources to show what information you need from the specific node. Hope that helps!

Hi broje. Check the account you're connecting to Orion with has the relevant permissions within IPAM: Roles and privileges - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and Support Also confirm you have the prerequisites in place for SWIS and IPAM: Use the SWIS API to perform IPAM operations - SolarWinds Worldwide, LLC. Help and…

If you're seeing some of the links for a device, but not others, that's really odd. Usually, if this information is missing, it's down to you not having selected the relevant topology boxes in 'list resources' when adding your nodes. That would be the first thing to check.

'ello Dave. If you globally disable the agent auto-update, and then again on the individual Linux agent settings and turn off automatic updates there as well you should be OK. Only other suggestion would be to lab it up, follow the above advice for a test Linux host in the lab, running the current version agent, and then…

Hi campbellj1977! One other thing you could do is check the recommendations shown in the SolarWinds Product Upgrade Advisor. It will tell you what you need to install, and in what order, to get your SRM integrated Product Upgrade Advisor | SolarWinds Customer Portal

Check to see if the client access switches are using SNMP or ICMP for response time polling. Go to manage nodes, find one of the devices, check the box next to it and select 'list resources'. Once it's populated, check under the 'Status & Response Time'. If it is currently set to SNMP, that's likely the problem, as SNMP…

Hey, What you could do, is add a new menu item which links to the URL for the 'aa' view. Here's how to do it: 1. Edit your 'aa' view, and click 'preview'. 2.. Copy the URL from the preview window which opens. 3. Go to settings/customize menu bars. 4. Select the relevant menu bar you want the link to the 'aa' view to appear…

Afternoon! Are you seeing anything in the event logs on the target machine? Check the 'SolarWinds.net' logs also, they might give you some pointers as to what's going on. Also, have you tried uninstalling the old agents completely, and then installing the newer versions? If so, do you have the same problem?

Hi trilobite rex. What you need to do is add an 'and' line to your alert, by clicking the green '+'. Then, you need to add the logic which filters out the batteries. Something like: Hardware Sensor Name Does Not Contain Battery If you go to 'Settings>Manage Hardware Sensors' you will see all your hardware sensors listed.…

My first thought with problem # 2 is that this sounds like a local user profile problem on the NTA server. Try removing the user profile for 'person 2' and have them log back on. Hopefully this will resolve it.

Hey kal0el, Give the following a bash: * Fully refresh the page using ctrl+F5. Sometimes this issue is down to a cached version of the page (odd, since the reports list should load from the database, but this seems to solve it for some people). * Perform a iisreset via an elevated command prompt on your primary polling…

Do you have more than one poller? If not then: 1 x SQL server 1 x Primary Poller (all the modules) 1 x NetFlow Database Server 1 x FOE Secondary Server (clone of Primary Poller P2P/V'd to the fourth server) Basic steps (I'm assuming the OS is installed on all boxes already): * Install SQL the database server & create the…

Getting the exact same issue here. I selected three export options: Excel, CSV and PDF. Only the PDF arrives, I get an error for both CSV and Excel options. I also get the same results when choosing CSV and Excel individually. The user I'm running the report as doesn't have admin rights, and has a limitation linked to a…

Hi tira_li. It sounds like you had two separate Orion instances running, one for NPM and one for NCM, and now you want to integrate them. Normally, as NCM is a fully integrated Orion product, the database for NPM and NCM is one and the same: You would first install NPM, and then install NCM on the SAME SERVER. During the…

If you want to use the same email addresses for all alerts, you can use the 'Initial Alerting Setup' under Settings (in the 'Reports and Alerts section) to specify the default email addresses you want your notifications to go to. That will save you from having to specify them each time, you can simply use the global…

Check the nodes which are not showing any data are being successfully polled via SNMP/WMI. It could be that the information is blank because nothing is being returned from the nodes when polled.
