From the query you're looking at CustomPollerStatus.Status for the source of the date. What format is the data in that column?
-
Ok go to Settings, then SAM Settings (under product specific settings), then click on Manage Templates. Do you see the 'Shared Templates on Thwack' tab? You mentioned that you can't use shared templates, but all these templates are are settings which allow SAM to look for specific services/processes running on a server.…

Hmm, I can't see anything specific wrong there either. Very odd. If no-one else offers a suggestion, I'd recommend submitting a case with support. Before you do that though, try replicating the report using the classic report writer, see if you have more luck. If you do, that will give support more information to go on.
-
Running the config wizard didn't help, but my Google-fu found out why my report is off: SQL DATETIME HELP My query is using DATEDIFF, and apparently it's rounding the time down.
-
Nope, I have't akhasheni! I'll give it a bash and report how it goes
-
Meh, looks like support ticket it is mate! Hope they sort it for you. Post the result and cure in here if you don't mind

Incidentally, you can swap between tracking availability & status from being calculated from ICMP responses to SNMP. Even your nodes that are being monitored via SNMP will, by default, be tracking availability and status from their ICMP responses. From NPM 10.7 onwards you can change this, either on a per node basis, or in…

Hmm.. does that mean that custom thresholds are b0rked across the board, or only when it comes to the 10 x website resources? Well, at least you have your answer, shame it's not a fix though!
-
I was going to recommend logging a ticket with them, finding out what best practice is. Many of us will have our own ways of doing things, but if support can provide a supported method, please post the response here, the community will appreciate it (and I'll be sure to bookmark it )

At this point I think you'd be better off speaking with support... but you may find that difficult if the maintenance on your license has expired! (always the way, you pay for maintenance and you never need it, but when you do.....) For the SQL migration, the procedure would be: * Open the Orion Service Manager and click…

Hmm. How many batter sensors do you have in your environment? You may need to be more specific with the and/or statement and use the actual batter hardware sensor name.
-
Glad you got it sorted

Cheers Serena!

Good luck! Hope it all goes well from here!

That should work fine. I assume you used the green arrows to move 'Heart Beat' to the top? I mad a test node details view on one of my servers, and moved the tabs around, and the change stuck for me. What version the software are you running?
-
Thats great news! Glad I was able to help

Sorry for the tardy response, esther823! I'm in the UK, so my awake times may differ from yours With the standard installation, Orion will install SQL Server Express. This isn't ideal as you will be limited in the size your database can grow. I would only recommend this option for evaluation or lab environments. Since it…

tweeks, that would be a genuine use case for EOC, yes. I'm guessing you had one product, and for some reason decided to deploy the other separately, rather than punching holes through the network (before agents were a thing)? There might be something you could do to merge the data, but it would be messy, and not 100%…

It could be something to do with the SNMP data for the serial interface. Perhaps the returned information isn't as complex? Do a SNMPWalk from your poller and have a look at the MIBs returned, that may shed some light on it. Failing that, log a call with support. They may be able to cut through the troubleshooting workload

Thanks for showing the testing Fenando. Much appreciated. 'status is unknown is certainly not the most useful of error codes!. Check this SolarWinds KB article.See if it applies to your environment. If this doesn't help, I suggest you log a ticket with SolarWinds via your customer portal login. I'm all out of ideas!

Ok, thanks for clarifying. I have't updated from NPM 11.0.1 as yet, as it seems the web alert manager still has some issues. If you get an answer via the ticket, would you mind posting the resolution here? I'll add it to my "big list 'o fixes" for 11.5.x
-
Could you tell us what the 'right stuff' to do was on this, when you get a resolution please?
-
Hmm.. that should have worked for SNMP, not just ping updates Last time I did something similar was in NPM 10.x. It's possible they've altered the field names in 11.x . I'll have another think!
-
No problem. Glad you got it sorted out

Hey lufffunk, If you do submit a new feature request, link the request thread to this question and it'll maximise visibility for the community. I'd also encourage your contacts in the OPC community at large to register with Thwack and vote for your feature thereby giving the OPC community a real voice within the…

Cheers for the confirmation Jiri

Hmm.. that could be a bug in the 'All Groups' resource within new UI, although I'd have to test it myself to see if I can replicate it. The fact that the users cannot access any of the nodes within the groups they shouldn't be able to see, means the limitation is working on a macro scale, just not within the 'All Groups'…

At this point I don't think we can assume anything. From SWI's perspective, the database portion of our all conquering software is out of scope of their support. Perhaps sqlrockstar could chime in with his Godly knowledge and experience with all things SQL, but this really is out of scope for SWI as a vendor. It's down to…

No problem pratikmehta003! If you change availability monitoring to track via SNMP rather than ICMP, if SNMP ever fails, your device will be shown as down and will trigger the default 'Node Down' alert. To do this: * Go to 'Manage Nodes' * Find the device in question, check the box next to it and click 'List Resources' *…

Just trying my best to help All I can suggest at this point is for you to log a support ticket via the customer portal. Prepare your diagnostics in advance (run 'Orion Diagnostics' from your pollers, just click 'start' and choose where to save them) as they'll likely need them. Hopefully they'll be able to nail down what's…
