Now this is one great monthly activity! Not only is it fun (those pictures are awesome, some look almost legit ) it's also reminded me that there are a lot of really handy free tools out there, some I'd forgotten about, and others I didn't even know existed! Awesome I think we should have a separate vote, for which picture…

It's not ideal, no. That said, it's great that the Thwack CMs run these competitions EVERY MONTH!! You can forgive them a few wobbles from time to time

Nice luishandy! I used something similar myself, but as familyofcrowes rightly says, the "Average Joe" would not be comfortable enough with html to go with it in production. That's why I created this idea. NetFlow is so awesome, it's output deserves it's own set of Orion resources, something akin to the various map…

Yay, thanks maria.bungau!

Aye, hints within hints, but got there in the end. I had to work hard for those points this time
-
Also, the Nexus rack sounds a lot like the background hum in Star Trek Next Gen. Have that on loop and pretend you're Picard :P

Maybe adding the question URLs to WPM would give an early warning of any problems with them, maria.bungau

I think designerfx hit the nail on the head with that last bullet! We'd like to see the 'Audit Events' option in the Message Centre show EVERYTHING an account has done. It appears that some actions are logged, but these are not currently selectable options within the drop down list. Perhaps, linked to this, there should…

LOL @ the intro to link #2! I almost spat out my coffee!

Brilliant!

Congrats tinmann0715 & cisherwood! Enjoy both the knowledge gained by this mission, and those awesome prizes

Indeed! * If you have too many people, you have a waste in resources and an increase in potential security threads due to procrastination (bookface, twitter, pinterest etc etc). * If you have overly loborious process it will hamper both people trying to do their jobs, and the integration of new technologies into your…

Streaming Heroes!

If used correctly, I think this could be a great idea

I just want the network infrastructure components to continue to be awesome to each other. No naughty neighbours, no packet posties on strike, and absolutely no wonky "maintenance" from my ISP, thanky-you-very-much
-
Great post jreves! A great reminder on how SNMP an sFlow work (or NPM and NTA, if you like) to show how our network traffic is gathered. Some of those links are gems, as well.

Any news on the NSX support @"jvb"? I'm going to have a nose at the 2023.1 RC just in case there's something spicy in there for it. Monitoring it via HCO has become a hot topic for my current public sector client
-
Aye, born in '75 here, so I can remember those decades, although I'm from the UK. I wish I could plug my head into a screen and show my kids the difference just 30 years has made! It's amazing, really.

"Great, kid! Don't get cocky!" - Han Solo There's always a sing in the tail in week 4! =B']

Now this is what I like to see from our missions! Informative, and encompassing different modules. Reminding me that SCM supports the tracking of database changes could be valuable for my current client, so there may even be a sale off the back of this too
-
If that's the case, awesome
-
Improving what we have is always a good cause. +1 internets.
-
Enjoying this mission so far, good job @"kpina" . It's good to have a reminder of all the good that's tucked away in various places around SWI's content.
-
Boo, South Park avatar builder isn't available in the UK

Oh, I like this one m_roberts! +1 Mini rant: Whilst you can shoehorn MSP-like behaviour into Orion via custom properties and fancy reporting, out of the box the platform simply assumes it's just monitoring a single monolithic estate. There is nothing stopping Orion from being used in a multi-tenanted environment, but it's…

Cheers aLT, tres informative

Not currently using SD-WAN at HQ, but quite a few of my clients do.

Thanks for the response, highstone351! For me, it's not so much about the cost, as the benefit of including NTA's functionality into NPM. I'd LOVE to see it happen for no extra cost, but given SWI would then be loosing a whole income stream by removing NTA from the store, I can't see it happening gratis.

Good idea! Whilst the Discovery profiles can filter out volumes based on their type, I too would value having identical functionality to how interfaces are included/excluded from a given discovery.
