Woot! Melbourne SWUG!

This was answered below but worth mentioning again in case others don't read further down - you can lock it down to only receive from specific IP addresses.

Looks like you're all sorted as I get the following message. "The maximum number of responses for this survey has been met. Thank you!"

As above, the biggest compliment is repeat business. I occasionally receive an email from my manager regarding customers contacting them to express their appreciation/gratitude for my work so that's always nice to hear as well. Non-customer related, I hurt my back about 18 months ago and was off work for a month. I have a…

Congrats nickzourdos !

jamison.jennings If HA kicked in when failing back to the old main, and you've cleared out the HA tables, updated the Engines table, etc. also make sure the SolarWinds services aren't "Disabled" on your new main server.

I really liked the Nov 2017 mission! Lots of useful info on Network Insight

Woot! Shoutout to squinsey also

Bump, because I ran into this today!

Yes, this would be the tricky part. Sometimes an additional poller is deployed in a different network that won't allow ICMP/SNMP/WMI through the firewall. If the system automatically moves devices from that poller onto a different poller it would cause issues, so there would need to be an option to group pollers, or…

Have you installed an evaluation version on that server before? The install should default to a 30 day evaluation if you don't input your license details.

Thanks for organising this adatole, and thanks to the authors as well as the community team (and the community!). Some days it was easy to respond with a comment, and others I struggled. Overall an enjoyable month that has left me with a lot to think about.

Congratulations wthomashefsky !

Congrats to jdelacruz@idealintegrations.net and the other winners!
-
Jeff - ah thanks, that makes much more sense in that it only increases polling capacity. I was getting stuck thinking how would you assign devices to them but they won't show up as separate pollers.

Need more competitions for non-US residents. I know, I know - legal/regulation issues, etc

Not sure why you guys don't see it but I can definitely edit more than 15 minutes after a post. The following shot was taken just under 80 minutes after the initial post.

Unless I'm misreading the request, you can bodge it now. * Add an image/icon to the map (i.e. pic of a cloud). * Select the image and the edge router and hit the button to make a new topology connection * Use the WAN interface inbound/outbound traffic for the RX/TX It should draw a line to the cloud and use the WAN…

I remember having to reboot using different autoexec.bat's in order to get access to the extended memory in order to run certain applications. Let's not mention the time I was a young'un playing around with DOS and tried to delete ".." - wiping out all of the system files in the root directory.

Hi Danielle - I figured that might be the case. Thanks
-
I am intrigued by these "Noode Commands".

Congrats superfly99 - great prize!

My first thought was wondering if the Adabox was related to adatole. They are not but they look pretty cool and the company is interesting - https://www.adafruit.com/about

Congrats to the winners!

Hey @"zennifer" - do you use HTTPS? I've seen those screens fail to load if you only use HTTP. If you are using HTTPS, check this article: https://support.solarwinds.com/SuccessCenter/s/article/The-Deployment-Health-Updates-Available-and-Diagnostics-tabs-are-blank-and-diagnostics-cannot-be-gathered-from-the-web

The flip-side benefit is when you're flat out you don't have to worry about getting all the answers in for a week. Just do them all in bulk at the end of the month/when you have time before it closes.

Working for a Cisco Unified Comms company and deploying VNQM a few times is paying off.
