The only thing that I seem to miss (or can't find in the new UI), is the ability to see what nodes have met all of the trigger conditions except for the "must exist for x minutes" condition. I know when you create or edit an alert, the alert summary page before you click Submit will tell you what nodes match but it was…

I know you're trying to help but that method also has flaws. Introducing different time zones. Per your instructions, I don't see any spike. The event you're talking about is at 12AM 19/12 on your chart but on mine it is at 5PM on 18/12. I could do the Last 24 hours on the day of the question but it would only work if I…

Yeah, the question is available but the poll it links to is on thwack - which I presume has been created but hidden/restricted. A mod will need to unlock it which won't happen until they are in the office.

Looking forward to contributing this year!

Woot, 100% ... except I can't win the awesome chair However, for those of us doing the mission shortcut, how do we know if we won the tshirt? The Terms and Conditions for AU say the first 50 (I'm not sure if there would be even 50 entrants from Australia but hey, just checking!)

Thanks for the list!

Being a part of this community is great and being asked to be an MVP would be my favourite moment.

Agreed. So many times I've heard "Let's just do X" and my response is "Uhhhhh... please don't".

You can use Manage Pollers from the main Settings page to bulk change them. I can't remember off the top of my head whether disabling the Agent polling reverts to ICMP polling or if enabling ICMP overrides the Agent polling (try it on a node and see ). But as you said below, if the firewalls or remote servers block…

This actually reminds me of the following: * PEBKAC - Problem exists between keyboard and chair * ID 10 T issue - This one is usually said out loud rather than written down * H2IK issue - Hell If I Know...

Heard similar to the above: - Please Do Not Throw Sausage Pizza Away And the other way: - Australia Post Sucks They Never Deliver Parcels (although my experience with AusPost has generally been great!)

Ditto. I'll wear some of my other SolarWinds shirts instead Also, realised I'm wearing a SolarWinds polo right now
-
Thanks HerrDoktor! I'll run some tests next week and see if it solves my issue (https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-176239#comment-270427).

Congrats to the winners!

Very useful information on the new NPM capabilities. I was a bit concerned about some of the questions based on the comments in this thread but they had been fixed up by the time I got around to them!
-
This is why I liked when I did my CCNA/CCNP - everywhere was all theory until I found one place that encouraged labs and hands-on with the equipment. Some students wouldn't bother with the labs and you could see which students had no understanding of the basics while we were doing CCNP (especially TSHOOT).

... & Australian participants?

Same, I thought I got them all as well but no email. Anyway, it doesn't matter as I'm international.

Thanks for all of your contribution to the community maria.bungau. It's been fun and you will be missed!

This is exact setup I use for betas and evaluations. I have a few server VMs with .NET and other pre-requisites already installed so I can snapshot back and reinstall if I need to run something up.
-
Although not a feature of NPM itself, you could enable flow monitoring on the network devices and then use the Netflow Traffic Analyzer to monitor traffic to that particular node/interface. I don't think NPM is capable of this as polling cannot track that type of information.

Agreed - I typically group by the application template name but with a lot of templates (or if you want to look at multiple templates or a group of nodes), it isn't ideal.
-
Similar. Usually I'll integrate it with Orion but that's as far as it goes. Keen to see what it can do now compared to when I last looked a few years ago.
-
Haha you bugger squinsey !
-
Agreed - one of the biggest problems are the people who will grab an IP "just for a quick test" without telling anyone, and then leaving it in use.

Congrats to all! Also welcome to another Aussie! felixforbes

I'm a bit late to the party this month as I've been busy with end-of-financial year. It's good to see some demo questions for LEM as it's one of the modules I don't know a lot about. (I had to use the videos as the demo loaded up the modules/resources with no events found.)

Congrats all!

Great news! I know a few customers who will be very happy.
