A little update. Case open for 1 week with support. They have suggested the usual (AV exclusions etc.) to no avail. They have yet to take a remote session to actually view our experience of the issue ....

Chris, that awesome. Have you a link to that post? PS: I feel like dwayne dibly

I think I need a holiday as I am going blind! Sorry for wasting your time guys but much appreciated!

The more I look at this the more I think this is just fundamental design. For example, constantly see links to CSS that look like this: * <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="">thwack.solarwinds.com/.../sw-events.css.i18n.ashx /> Why always dynamically generated? As a quick test i forced caching of these by using…

Just ran a few test with hubble. Basically just tells me that duplicate queries running on every page and also every page i seem to navigate to runs a tonne of licensing queries for some reason. .
-
Thanks Marc. Am I being dense in relation to the custom HTML widget (I am using 2019.04) ? It seems to accept static HTML to it cannot be populated with query results can it? Also, you say: * It only outputs tables but it has some built in functions for adding icons and links and if you get creative you can make it do all…
-
Hmm. Is there now way to build a widget from scratch?
-
OK so I wish to build a custom table so I select the 'Custom Table' resource then 'Add Content' to define my DataSource. SO where do I define the custom SQL query I have built? AM I being dense (very possible! )

I should have been clearer so I have updated the original post. We have the agent running under SYSTEM and it's deployed to all Windows server builds by the build team. It's set to agent initiated communication. There's a different team running SolarWinds NPM and SAM. Whilst we technically have admin access to the servers…

I take you point but in SCOM I would just create a new class for the PageFile drive, assign an override and done, forever. never revisit .
-
Yes. I'm kind of fed up with this product in a lot of ways but I'm stuck with it. I'm using the SDK quite a bit but that's for another rant on another thread!
-
Eh? I never said my servers don't contact my WSUS server, I said they never contact my PM server. I would imagine you have not had to deploy the components as you are running a task on the PM against all servers that requires the components hence they get deployed. This will not wok for me due to various reasons…

Any update form the investigations? I have a call with support and they are not aware of any investigations underway?

I'll look at again hubble but haven't found it much use so far. Please send on suggestions. Basic test against the 'All settings' page is 5 seconds for 2.9 MB (orion/admin/default_orion.aspx). That dynamically generated JavaScript bundle accounting for most of it. 'Add Node' from that page takes 7 seconds for 2.1 MB…

That dynamic script generation is a time eater alright http://localhost:8000/en-GB/app/search/searchcs_uri_queryhttp://localhost:8000/en-GB/app/search/searchcounthttp://localhost:8000/en-GB/app/search/searchpercent43355.93.L52561.47541043201.41.L32938.524590

We are working with a gold partner and SolarWinds have said 'we acknowledge the issue' but that's it. no detail, no offer to fix. We needed the application and NTA a lot in the last 48 hrs and the UI loads slowed down our troubleshooting so much that we simply fired up Prometheus and telegraf client to gather windows perf…
-
Not really! I have never seen anything concrete form SQ on the UI pref issues so I'm not sure what i would be testing? I have thousands objects monitored in my live so would be difficult to produce that load in test.
-
Same issue here.
-
OK, thanks. So for auto-deployment (e.g. without having to clicking anything on a specific node) we need to publish it to WSUS or use our 3rd party tool. I'll start a new thread for the latter
-
I git it with this classic chart: Top CPUs by Percent Load
-
Change registry key and restart agent did the trick

Thanks for the replies guys. The IP addresses I was using (10.x.x.x etc) were solely for descriptive purposes. Basically, it doesn't appear that this can be accomplished. The poller seems to use the IP address of the interface it is using and chooses the interface based on the endpoint being polled. As such, it's nearly…
-
Yes, using it now and immediately thinking the same!
-
It's the correct answer as there is little automated discovery in NPM. if you have a method of automating discovery please post detail here.
-
Great news!
-
I have updated to latest NPM and perf to my eye is still slow. Things like hitting the 'All Settings' page take 5 8 seconds even after hitting it already (the UI does not seem to cache). I have logged to support for one more go at it but I'm expecting to hear that this is the best we can expect and these page loads times…
-
We are looking at alternative solutions. this has been an issue since we put the product in place 2 years ago and the product team seem to think its OK to wait 15 seconds for simply pages to load.
-
Its a vmware limitation really as they don't capture the creator as an attribute of snapshot but as an event. Not sure why. VMM would need to subscribe to these events to capture this info or poll (inefficient though) for them.
-
Hi adelk, that my problem, i need a function API to do this
-
This needs to be added ASAP! W use NetApp flexclones and dynamically present hundreds of disks to servers per day. I couldn't believe it when I found NPM could not detect these automatically.
