I'm not at SP1 yet, afraid to do so since things are breaking. Thanks KC, that was the trick. I appreciate the help. I can see everything now. Shawn Waldman

That worked. Thanks. It's definitely not auto-detecting though. Let me know if you want any additional details. Of course, I need to try it from another phone to make sure it's just not something up with my Droid. Shawn

I just want to point out that monitoring a website from the inside vs. the outside is 2 different things and we've seen a website look and work fine on the inside but not work on the outside. We've started to deploy and test NPM with APM from the outside so we can run different tests and also track latency. SW has a…

My entire Solarwinds installation is virtualized and I've never had one issue. I have NPM 10.1 virtual on a singe server, then the SQL Server is also virtual (2008). I'm monitoring almost 500 nodes and doing tons of custom pollers. Shawn

I use an Inter-Tel Voip phone system, will this module work for me? Shawn

My suggestion would be to now turn to NetFlow to see "what" is causing the issue on your WAN link. You can download a copy of SW free analyzer here. www.solarwinds.com/.../netflow_analyzer.aspx Outside of this, now that you have the timeframe, you just need to monitor what is exactly happening during that time now.

Here was an idea I heard last week regarding this very subject. #1 - Use Kiwi to be the front Syslog server, then have Kiwi foward those selected types of events you want to be on Orion. This way, you can archive, burn to DVD etc. much better on the Kiwi box. #2 - Retention. I need to keep mine for about 5 years. Shawn
