thank you mharvey, that worked. the Auto hide was kinda lost in the clutter of the edit resource page

sounds like a Support ticket issue. make sure that when scheduling the job the time is set properly (they have a 15 min warning that usually pops up), then enable the saved job
-
what exactly are you trying to discover? all nodes in that subnet that respond to your snmp communities?
-
Okay so I am running NPM 10.7 and still experiencing the issue of reported reboots with the Cisco WAP4410n on firmware 2.0.6.1

Many Thanks. I have voted

You may not get the ISP to allow you SNMP access my ISP gives me access to a customer portal (web access to their SolarWinds on an old version) which sucks as it doesn't display on my SolarWinds with the rest of my network. Do you have Solarwinds NTA? You can set the router to export Netflow to your SolarWinds which may…

Thank you for the reply sja I can in fact connect successfully from Putty on the NCM server
-
Thank you for the reply cnorborg I have tried as you said, but without success I have created a connection profile as you suggested: Once you're there, assign a profile name, username and password. Tell it there is "<No Enable Login>", and no need to set an enable password. Set it up for "SSH auto" on everything ("Execute…

2. Your user has disabled session timeout (check in account settings - edit account - Disable Session Timeout) seems most probable

Yes I do, but not often mosty when I am perusing the forums looking for interesting questions

This is an old post, but I have a similar need. My Solarwinds NPM polling was not retrieving the Service Tag as the serial number, but instead a long different value. What I did was this: I had a spreadsheet with all the Service Tags of my DELL switches. Just 2 columns - Switch Name and Service Tag I created a custom…

do you have ISDP enabled? when you login to the switch web portal, are you seeing the switch neighbors in ISDP?
-
I believe that you have to make a request to SolarWinds Customer Support to compile these mibs into their mib database login with your customer account and submit the mibs, they will compile them and make them available in the next release of the database I had to do this to get SolarWinds to recognize my DELL PowerConnect…
-
What do you want to do? Search the mib database for a mib that may be present on your device ? You need to do an snmp walk using the snmpwalk.exe utility found at \Program Files\SolarWinds\Orion. This saves the list of mibs found to a text file which you can search, if you know the mib you are looking for. Search NPM…

what mesverrum suggested I would also do a courtesy stop-all and restart all SW services on your polling engine can you confirm that the services on the nodes that are back up are working? seems firewall-ish from the symptoms

Does the account you are login into Network Atlas start-up have Node Management rights? Check the properties of the account http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/orion/docs/OrionNetworkAtlasAdminGuide.pdf

Please support Windows Phone platform so we can install and use Mobile Admin on our Windows phones

Danielle et al, Once you've become a customer, what SolarWinds web properties do you visit, how often, and for what? * Do you continue to visit the solarwinds.com website? How often? What kind(s) of content do you normally go looking for on solarwinds.com? Not often. I visit for info on products that I currently do not…

You would get that info better from your firewall or proxy server. NTA would just show a lot of web traffic between your user IP address and the firewall/proxy server IP address you can see the conversations on the user port, but webpages and DNS names may not be as useful as you may hope.

I have similar experience with some custom pollers delete and recreate it and it works
-
Here's an update on this, I can successfully upload backed-up configs to a switch, if the switch is set to factory defaults, with the original IP address re-configured. I would connect to the switch via console cable, reset to factory defaults, set the management IP address to what is configured in Solarwinds, use NCM to…

Anyone?

might be your anti-virus shutting down the service? open Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Service look for Solarwinds TFTP Server service Start the Solarwinds TFTP program and see what happens to the service Check the Event Viewer to see if logs are being written by your AV program that may indicate a shutdown of the…

I got a few IP cameras (~20), but I don't monitor them using SNMP I have found that even though cameras are active on the network, there are a lot more things that would affect video stream than whether it is simply up or down we have some that show network activity, but no video stream, so even though they would show…

I would also love to have this I am getting the same error: I already voted up Richard Letts idea

Same problem here running UDT 2.5.1. When I click on a node I see the interfaces as discovered and their operational status. Not all ports display MAC addresses and None display hostname and IP address See sample screenshot: Some previous searching indicated that the UDT job status should include layer 2 and Layer 3 jobs…
-
Check out this thread: UDT Hostnames and IP Address stopped working both RichardLetts and myself seem to be having the same problem. Can you read through there and see if you are also experiencing this problem? I originally asked if it was ever working as this would give us some context to your problem. UDT relies heavily…

was it working previously or is this a first time install?

I didn't have to work with any mibs for sflow to work properly on my NTA The default port on my DELL PowerConnect switches for sflow was 6343, so I verified that NTA was setup for the same port Then configured my switches to send the sflow data to my NTA server in the sflow receivers That was all You will need to configure…

I have the same experience I have added ALL the multicast resources to my NTA Summary page and only the "Interfaces by Relative Multicast Packet Rate" resources are displayed. I cannot get the "Multicast Groups Summary" or the "Top 10 Multicast Traffic" resources to display
