  • OK - I created a couple of groups to see how this works. Each time I added a new group via the web gui the site timed out. Not good. Solarwinds please fix this. So far the new groups are not showing at all via the Netflow views. I can see the old default groups. Is there something else I need to do? Restart the service?…
  • hmm.. Doesn't fill me with confidence about this particular feature.
  • Thanks Tim, I didnt realise "InterfaceTraffic" was a view! (I dont have direct access to the SQL Server). It also appears that the routine that rolls up the detail\hourly\daily has stopped working (Its configured and enabled but we have entries in the detail table going back over a month). Thanks for helping with this.
  • Hi - I also have a ticket open with Solarwinds Support. Will let you know what I find out.
  • I tihnk this might have been user error ;-) After going back and looking again the figures in the Raw Data are in bps (bits per second) and do tally up with the Chart Data. My bad!
  • Thanks Casey - Tested alerting on status > 0 and this does exactly what i need.
  • Thanks Chris - It would certainly be a very useful feature :)
  • We opened a ticket with Solarwinds. Here is what they said. I havent had a chance to verify yet. When we poll cisco devices we use the same RFC standard mibs. I’ve included them below. We’ll want to test these OIDs using either the universal device poller or the toolset if you have it. This will show us what the device is…
  • Thanks Sham, I think i know where i was getting confused. The email alert states "downloaded startup config" Which it clearly needs to do before it can compare. However, the config is not kept unless changes are found. It was the "downloaded startup config" statement that led me to believe that the config had been saved,…
  • Thanks for the reply. Will try out number 4. Thanks again.
  • Thanks Tim, I've been looking a writing a report that collects information directly from the "InterfacesTraffic" table to produce a report that show the number of times that an interface has exceed a certain threshold in a certain time period. The InterfacesTraffic table seems to store values every 9 minutes for each…
  • About 106% when looking at past hour every 10 mins (10 mins is our polling interval).
  • Yep, me too. Alerting on dropped packets from queues (especially the voice queue). Also alerting when reaching 95% of queue allocation. Anyone know the status of this feature request?
  • Ok - after muttering a few choice words and searching some more I found the link ftp://ftp.solarwinds.net/Orion/ServicePack/Orion9.1-SP3-Eval.zip Installed over the top and now I can use it without the license. However, it has not fixed my original problem which was that Universal poller graphs are not showing (out of…
  • OK - Reading another post I know understand that when using a counter it automatically calculates the delta to per second. So I dont need to have this in the transform. However, I still need the graph to display in bits per second and not bytes per second. Does anyone know how I could do this? Many Thanks Andy
