1. You will need to monitor the Virtual Machine in Orion to see the Sysuptime to Alert when it reboots. 2. You can do this with a Parent Child Map. Basically you will need to put all of the VM Guests into a new Map and save the Map as "VM Guests". Then take that map and put it on your Main Map. By default, if 1 Node in the…

The query times are showing 40 seconds to 2-3 minutes to obtain from the NTA Flow Storage database. The Universal Pollers are not on the Solarwinds server, they are retained within the database. Once all Pollers in a Folder have been moved to another group, I believe the folder should be removed automatically.

The Alert Test only will test the Trigger actions of the Alert and not the Actual Alert Itself. It will not test the actual Alert Trigger conditions. What I normally do is change the Trigger conditions to be met and send the E-mail message to ensure that you are getting the correct information, and it will also verify that…

We have this from NetFlow 3.1 to NetFlow 3.11. NetFlow 4 removed all NetFlow Details tables to the new Flow Data architecture, but this is what it means. If the Table displays as NetFlowDetail_1150_1545578 1150 will be the Interface ID. 1545578 increments up as we are doing the Detail Table Flows. By default these tables…

What is the IOS version of the ASA? There is a bug in ASA versions prior to 8.2.1.12 that causes flow information to be reported from incorrect interfaces. Also, by default Cisco ASA devices are configured to send version 9 templates every 30 minutes, and it appears that the traffic may be coming in once every 3-5 minutes.…

The Trigger conditions will depend upon the Group that they are under. If the Group is set to All, then both the Node Status is equal to Down and the City is equal to Tampa would have to be met in order to alert. If the Alert group is set to Any, then if either is correct, then it would Alert. The Alert would be reset…

In Orion Core 2015, the current limit is 75 Additional Polling Engines. The biggest factor is the performance of the MS SQL Server to handle all of the polling data from all of the servers.
