LOL, so apparently the .NET installers never said a restart is required and this NG installer saw them installed, it did need a restart. After this months updates and a restart it all installed correctly.

Nobody has gotten install errors when upgrading to 1.4? Maybe nobody has installed it yet lol

Well, support acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I disabled SSH but as we have to use ftp software, the SSH was needed. So I just enabled "Anti-Hammering," also known as Anti-Brute Force protection, under domain settings. and checked the box never show server information for SSH identity

Thanks mesverrum, but I am on a Windows box and according to our external pen test, there was no reverse engineering and it only took seconds. We do not currently have HTTPS setup to remote admin, but it was discovered that SSH'ing into the gateway brought up the admin console.. Should I open a ticket?

@"dodster" yeah, the migration was somewhat time consuming as I had to recreate the whole structure, just couldn't edit what was there, it never worked. So after recreating the structure everything seemed to work good. So far I have not heard of anybody losing there previous shared files.

According to Support, moving the server to a new domain and updating LDAP information, the file shares should not be affected.

So I deleted the domain, added my user to an existing domain and limited it to a certain directory. I can now login with WinSCP, with SFTP. But the code I am using is only allowing me to use HTTPS. Apparently we can't use Https?

When I try in WinSCP, it prompts for the password, enter password, prompts again. The Domain Activity log does not even show I am hitting it. @"dllock", apparently if you are on 2020.2 HF1 then you must upgrade to 2020.2.1 HF1 to be able to go to HF2. That's where I am stuck, and that's what is confusing people, I can't find out how to download 2020.2.1.

I personally don't have experience with those but we are probably moving fully over to Nagios. Been using it for some time now for servers but now might also be for our switches. lol

LDAP Authentication is not what we want to use. We only have one domain so Windows Authentication would work better. I just can't get it to see Domain groups.

Thanks ">sylvainj, I was not using LDAP as I thought it was for Linux. Once I configured that and made the LDAP Groups, it now tells me login unsuccessful. If I add Windows Groups it tells me no home directory for this user. If using LDAP why is it looking at Windows Groups?

So I wanted it to be by group membership so I added my AD structure for the group under Domain->Groups->Windows Groups but it is not reading it, anybody can log-in so far.
