Just attempted an upgrade to NPM 11.5 and had to back it out due to an undocumented pre-requisite for SQL server having to be be 2008, 2012, or 2014. Nowhere in the release notes (SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor Release Notes) or system requirements (Network Monitoring Software – Network Monitor | SolarWinds) does…

#3 Notify and Action This would give ultimate flexibility in case you want to leave the existing node. I'm at a loss right now why you might want to leave the a duplicate node but part of the game in IT is planning for the unknown. You may not need the functionality today, but tomorrow it may be something needed or desired.

Very much agree. We're currently using a Weather Underground map background to display the weather since that's is very relative to the stability of power at some of our sites. It's nice to get a heads up on our NOC's dashboard.

Worked great, thank you

Bumping this in hopes this gets visibility. Having to run the Configuration Wizard takes so long and seems unneccessary. It'd be nice if there was a way to just shutdown the services, change the password, then start the services. Even better, we use Thycotic Secret Server to maintain our service credentials and you can…

Bump again... this password changing through the wizard continues to be a big headache.

When I'm selecting nodes, I have a site with 391 nodes but the selection is truncated to just the first 300. If I scroll down the list it says "There are 91 more items..." but it does not allow me to select them. Others have already mentioned custom icons but I'd also like to see the ability to name the locations as well.…

Cool, thank you. Does changing the value in web.config require an iisreset to take effect?

You can set the default zoom level by clicking the "Edit" button on your World Map Resource. In the settings you'll see this button: It'll allow you to see the default zoom and position of the map.

I'm interested in that very same question. My concern would be performance, running it all on one server using the embedded PostgreSQL db. That kind of goes hand-in-hand with my question of going the virtual appliance route. I like the simplicity but it's all running on the one VM.

Cool, I sent it again and I didn't get blocked content reply. Thanks!

We don't use SSL for our SW site so port 443 not in the mix for us.

I can understand why they might not want to advertise known issues with new releases. However, it would be nice if SolarWinds were to update the release notes with this being a known issue (SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor Release Notes). I review the notes prior to upgrading to determine what might impact us that…

Tried recreating a few of the schedules from scratch, no dice. I submitted support ticket 606829
-
Ditto, same issue here.
-
Yep, confirmed the new version works in IE8. Thank you! I still don't quite get the snow and precip layers. It shows either old data or a forecast, but not current conditions.
-
Same here, IE8 but also upgrading all clients to Windows 7 so we'll be out of the dark ages soon. Concerning the weather map data, the precip forecast is still the same data that is was on 1/23. It's almost like it's permanently cached. Weird. I haven't really looked into it since I noticed so I'll report back if I find…
-
No it doesn't appear to work in Internet Explorer. I also notice the weather data is stuck in time and isn't refreshing when the map refreshes.
-
Very cool, works like a champ now. Thank you! I replaced your worldmap ID with ours on lines 5 and 25. I noticed on http://openweathermap.org/Maps that the precipitation layer is "Precipitation forecasts" and not the current weather. This had me a little confused since it was showing precip in our area when it's sunny…
-
Very cool! I tried to test it but all I get is a button that says "Enable Beta Maps" and no map. I changed the worldmapidnum to our WorldMap ID. Am I missing another step?

What's funny about this thread is I'm actually TRYING to contact Sales to get a demo of the Web Help Desk product I keep getting a "Blocked Content" email back from sales@solarwinds.com that says this: SolarWinds would like to thank you for your interest in SolarWinds software. Unfortunately, the recent email sent to a…

Solution found for us... support had us check the IIS authentication settings that "Anonymous Authentication", "Forms Authentication" & "Windows Authentication" were enabled. Anonymous was disabled and once enabled scheduled reports is working now. Wish we had looked at this earlier.
-
Anyone get a resolution from support yet? None of the suggestions thus far has worked. We're not binding SSL for the website so the SSL SQL query doesn't apply for us. Hotfixes 1, 3 and 4 are applied (not sure why there's no 2). Tried the built-in Orion Admin account as the credential, have tried the domain service account…

Just upgraded to 10.7 as well and having the exact same problem. Many reports saying "Unable to retrieve url" despite the URL being valid and accessible under the context of the account used. Theses scheduled reports were all created in the old Report Scheduler so I wonder if something got left out when the scheduler was…
