Just had 1 switch in a stack that went down. Never knew until we had some cameras that stopped working. Turns out it was a bad stack cable and switch rebooted but would have been nice to know a switch dropped from the stack.

I think i have an alert that checks that as well. I think for the cost of this software it should work out of the box. Cisco isn't exactly a small mom and pop company.

How about integration with Web Help Desk and the assets?

How is that this request hasn't been addressed. This exact topic has been created at least 4 times spanning 7 years. I also want to point out that some requests are so old that the requester has left. So how about Solarwinds addresses this request?

I agree that it needs to have some sort of audit trail and user rights management. I am really interested in this. We have an IP camera system and would like to be able to turn on and off ports for the cameras when they stop working. I hope setup is fairly easy.

Would really be nice to see canned reports like Models and Manufactures with no assets under them.

I put this feature out there so long ago that I don't even use Solarwinds anymore. Only took 3 years for it to get noticed.
-
I'm pretty sure you mean 24/7. I wouldn't hold your breath for this. It already been over 4 years since this request was put in.

Cisco Prime looks really nice, they are just missing the server monitoring parts.I don't know price.

It would really be nice this would updated or added.

Generally contacting your sales guy works but SW changes them so often I'm guessing that wouldn't do a thing.
-
This is a big annoyance that it doesn't do this. I have used other systems that notify the group then the group grabs the tickets. There are several other ideas that are pretty much going with this one. Doesn't seem like this product gets much updating STILL!!!

Yes, I'm logged in as myself and don't see it. I'm full admin.

Just installed 3.0 RC and don't see the Port Shutdown - Remotely shutdown a compromised device port. That is why i wanted to install this.
-
No problem looking forward to using the features in this release.

Quit being so nice. Why isn't this in this part of history? Not sure why these aren't default fields that if you don't want you could hide. Yet another check minus on WHD.

The current mobile app works so great on iOS 10. I mean it only pops up every so often a message that says that this app will run slow because it needs to be updated. It's not like techs are mobile on their phones updating tickets or anything.

Im moving over to Solarwinds from intermapper. They had a great probe that would detect if a switch dropped from the stack. I don't know or have time to figure out how to get this to work in Solarwinds. http://download.dartware.com/contrib/probes/com.rohmhaas.snmp.ciscostack.zip

I agree with everything that has been said. My biggest issue has been trying to move our install from a Mac to the Virtual appliances. There is no real support for getting this done. The backup is not through the app but from the DB engine which makes moving between Databases not easy. If I had my way I would remove this…
-
Great idea to add in docker support. But until there is a native application level backup this will be pointless. Right now we want to move from MacOS with MySQL to WHD VA which is running PosgreSQL and no easy way to it. I call this a fail.
-
Are there any plans for the VA to get migration task? Think vmware's virtual center to VCSA. Currently there is nothing and it sucks.
