Thanks for the tutorial. I built this, but I wanted to add it to a view (I have 2x monitors that display health charts outside our server room, (temp, bandwidth, etc.) and I wanted to add "financial" health to the mix). How does one do that? I've done the hard part, thanks to you, but I guess I need some additional…

Is it "Custom HTML" under view?

I read your VB 101 parts 1 -4 about how to create the bandwidth calc...but what I really wanted to add the stock ticker to the View for the server room...did I miss where that is explained or is there no way to get there from here?

I have the same problem PLUS all the WAP4410N keep showing up as constantly "rebooted" so that the SolarWinds event log is just a yellow mass of WAP reboots.

Here is what I get with a Cisco Controller. It is pretty cool how you click on the AP and all the users with their stats are nested below (my example only shows 1 user). It seems pretty robust. I am wondering what data could be missing. I do not get Data Rate (N/A). The Bytes Received and Transmitted are included but are…

This looks great! I noticed you don't get "Client Names" (Domain\Username) information from this view, either. Do you get Client Names from the page "Wireless"...or do I only get Client Names only the Wireless page, but not the Wireless Thin AP pages because I have a controller?...hmmm.

I would have linked to the specific "Wireless Thin AP" page for each AP but strangely enough the "Active Wireless Clients" table does not display "Client Name" (domain\username)?!! That information can only be found on the "Wireless Summary" View. I would think that someone who wants to know active wireless clients would…

This is what I eventually did. I created my floor plan maps. Dragged the WLAN Controller 12 times into the spots where the AP actually are physically located (so the AP will get availability information from the Controller...though you could use ICMP info from the IP addresses of the AP). Edited the web link so it goes to…

An SE is going to walk me through it next week on a conference call. If I do purchase it I will just add it to the SolarWinds interface through Admin -> Customize -> External Websites. ***UPDATE*** Version 7 is now up on their site: Trial is timebombed Free is not as function and only saves 24 hours of logs

Thanks for the idea. The functionality I am looking for is to create a floorplan with the Access Points mapped out so that if you click on them it brings the viewer to the individual pages from that wireless adapter from the Wireless Thin AP view. If you go the ICMP route it just bring you to the ping page which doesn't…

I have this same issue!

Thanks for the idea. This doesn't answer the problem I am trying to solve. The functionality I am looking for is to create a floorplan with the Access Points mapped out so that if you click on them it brings the viewer to the individual pages from that wireless adapter from the Wireless Thin AP view. If you go the ICMP…

Network monitoring tools? Is that the same as the Engineer's Toolkit?

Is this still the recommended method of getting ConnectNow to work? Where do you export into a CSV from? Thanks!

I just spoke with Plixer and they were quite pleased that version 7 of the Scrutinizer (their latest version of NetFlow analyzer) will work with ASA 5510, but like it has been recorded in this forum, the traffic conversations will be represented in the data ONLY after they have finished; causing latency in their…

Did you ever figure out how to do this? I wanted to create several Orion Network Atlas maps of my office floorplan and place the access points from the Wireless view on this (we have 12). However, when you go into Atlas you only have the option of dragging in REGULAR nodes/interfaces.

I had to reboot both the virtual Orion NPM server and the host Hyper-V Core server and when I did it no longer gave the false DOWN state for the host Hyper-V server on which it resides. Still lists as NT but that is of lessor concern.
