Perhaps open the Reports section and search for Netflow. You may find exactly what you need in general, and be able to save & edit a Report so it only displays those four interfaces. Swift Packets! Rick Schroeder

Telephone wasn't even an option--I'm surprised. Most of my users called our Help Desk over using the other options. In-Person isn't an option since the Help Desk is in a separate building with restricted card-key access. But, as a resource who gets assigned tickets, I saw my share of drive-by activity where people didn't…

There's already a tool to do just what you requested--Application Performance Monitor, packaged in AppOptics. Yes, you can request it be included as a future tool within a different part of Solarwinds / Orion, one which you may already own. If it gets enough kudos from other Thwack members, it could happen. For now, SW has…

* I recommend studying some of the technical publications and Video sessions created by Alert Master @"adatole". In my opinion, he's the "fine" in "fine-tuning alerts" for Solarwinds, and I live by his philosophy about an alert not being useful if it isn't actionable. * It's worth creating the parent-child relationships…

We went round & round trying to get our Cisco partner to get this service going for us; initially they wanted to charge us a lot of money to do so. Later they dropped their prices, but couldn't make it work. That's when I turned to Solarwinds, and after some tedious searching & troubleshooting for the "official" street…

More results, please? This is fascinating, I've got multiple 7K's going to 5K's, and all FEXes hang off the 5K's.

@Serena--What's that up in the sky? It's the BAT SIGNAL! I'm ready to upgrade NPM, NCM, and NTA with your team's oversight.
-
Survey complete. Now the timing's in the hands of my System Admins in charge of the 2012 VM environment.
-
Count my organization in on having the same problem. NPM 9.1 with the Wireless Module worked well--we had graphs showing total numbers of wireless devices on the network, and we could trust the information NPM's wireless module provided about ESSID's and IP addresses on AP's. But with the 9.5, we lost the wireless device…

Thank you. Are there future plans to make the signal strength coloring more specific? Or perhaps there's a rationale for one color representing -56 through -20 dB?
-
I never considered that as an option. On the other hand, the System Admins tend to lock us Network Analysts (and everyone else) out of these parts of their servers for safety's sake. The joys of silos.
-
Thank you. Testing now.

I get the same results from Firefox, IE, and Chrome. This particular screen shot happens to be from Chrome. It's not always that way, though. Some items DO have the option to edit or delete my comment. But not all places in Thwack do I get that option. I figured it was a Thwack issue, not my browser or personal rights.…

Congratulations, Tony, on a good job researching & upgrading. Everyone should take note of your experience, and develop a plan to keep their systems current and up-to-date. That way they'll avoid the problems you discovered (and conquered!) on your way to getting your systems to a version in which a specific vulnerability…

Serena watched "over my shoulder" as I upgraded from 12.0.1 to 12.2, and she and her team were there to answer my questions and keep me from wasting time or becoming stuck or heading down a dark path. In retrospect, I'd have been able to make it on my own--in at least two days instead of the couple of hours it took with…

Do you ever use Quality Of Experience to show services that are slow or that have failed? It's free with NPM, and you could set it to alert you anytime any servers or service's speeds exceed your thresholds. Not bad, for a built-in solution that isn't just a work-around for exactly what you want.

The hot fix names aren't apparent to me that I do or do NOT have the latest hot fix. But the date on the latest hot fix is for today (12/12/2017), so is it fair to say I must NOT have it? My currently installed updates: The hot fix available: Might it be a reasonable request to make the names of hot fixes & hot fix bundles…
-
Really? I just downloaded the available Hot Fixes yesterday morning. NPM HF3 was released since that time? What method should Solarwinds users rely on for discovering the presence of newly-released Hot Fixes?
-
Hello. May I help you?
-
As Serena noted, that problem is corrected. She demonstrated that with me two days ago, and I must say that the ENTIRE upgrade/patching process is faster, has fewer questions raised, is more complete . . . in fact, it is better in every way! Kudos go to SW and serena for their caring and efficiency and improvements!

Yes, please! I'm hoping I might be able to get our SysAdmins to prioritize providing a 2012 environment for two of my pollers the week of September 25, but I can't promise they'll do so. Once they do, I'd love to reach out to you for assistance.

Three AP's on one floor, six AP's on a second floor, nine on a third floor. None of the NPM Heat maps show any clients. Prime's map show clients attached to each AP in its map of the top one from above: I'm also confused why NPM's Heat Maps show so much coverage at -20 dB (red). That's impossible to achieve even with a…

I'm tied up for a while, but I'll get back to you on this. Thanks for looking into it. Rick

Interesting. How do you configure NCM and the ISE appliances to allow access & transfer files? A local user account? SCP?
-
I'd like ISE treated just like a Cisco switch or router by NCM. Although it's an application, it would be nice to track changes to its configuration. I don't see it ever happening, but it would be nice . . .
-
No, there's a UDT hotfix to apply. I was having problems after installing UDT for the first time (I started right with version 3.3.0), and SW Support had me install this hot fix. Things seem much better because of it.
-
My hero!
-
Agreed--knowing what the network's capable of prior to ISE deployment is important. For example, our VAR / Engineer team implementing ISE missed that we have 400+ Cisco 2960S's in play, and they don't have the necessary CPU/memory resources to properly support ISE. Fortunately (?) they're in my schedule to replace under…

Many thanks--that's the answer I needed. What is the minimum level of rights must I give him to be able to log into SDK and query the SWQL database?
