  • I see the thread is dated 2009. I wonder if the assertion "MIB database is not used to identify devices" is still true in the current NPM release. Is still sysobjectID database used?

  • Any follow up? We have the same behaviour: Orion NPM 10.1.1 is reporting a lot of receive/transmit discard on an interface, but we don't see the same information from the Dell m6220 interface. Thanks for any help or suggestion.

  • This is how we configured an alert rule for our Messaging Team. Of course you need to create one Alert rule for each Responsibility (it is Department in our case)
