Thanks for the advice. Actually, that is what I'm doing right now, I have a spreadsheet of all the devices that I should add to the NPM and as of now, not all of them are accessible but they are there. So until not all issues are resolved, I am tasked to add these nodes manually (I added them via ICMP, then edit it to SNMP…

Can you elaborate why? So I could tell my teammates. I was thinking, since there is a setting node status polling (every 120 sec), that if ever the FW policies are now OK and the device/nodes become pingable and can receive/send SNMP it will automatically refresh the node status and get the info. If that doesn't work, will…

I also discovered it just now, I was able to add the node manually with ICMP, but after setting it to SNMP/ICMP (just for it to be ready for rediscovering when the rules for FW are done) it goes to a down state.

Thanks, You are right, when using ICMP, I always get Unknown devices, the weird thing is, in some of the networks I add using discovery, it is a mix of ICMP and SNMP devices, but in some networks I discover nothing but, as said above, when manually adding them one by one, they appear via ICMP.

I see, will check it later. Are those reports updated? Since what I do is open report writer, click each one, then query, then I export them to pdf, which is very tedious considering I'm only using remote server and the response is slow. Thanks.

I don't think it's an issue with the config though. Maybe it is in the SNMP strings? Source: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/143613#143613 Also, if I edit one of my existing sonar discovery, and I delete all the SNMP community strings in the list (Based on the thread above), will it affect the other…

We've created a ticket already. But I was just trying my luck that someone has an easier solution. The one given me by the support team is something that will tinker our database, which I'm not that comfortable with tweaking. Since we are now in production.

Great work, thanks!

Thank you for the reply guys. My main question was two users with different computers using the same admin account adding nodes at the same time (Not the same node/ip). We tested it and it works.

I would check the polling rate.
