I completely agree that a company should pay for training and that it should be imposed on an employee on a regular basis, BUT It's the employee's responsibility to improve. Out-of-hours & free & seminar training are some of the ways, but you have to take charge of your own destiny and move forward. In some industries you…

I keep checking each day for the next question & find that there are no more. I must remember to forget. Looking forward to Monday for news of the December mission

Back in the 70's I was called to a punched card machine fault which was inserting additional spaces. I couldn't fail the machine & so I got the operator work normally for a while. I watched this rather large lady keying and her upper body randomly pressing on the space bar. I had to have a word with her supervisor to…

Most of our kit is still in-house, but we've also got a load in the cloud. I don't care where the functions are running, I just want to know that they are. I like having to check every day as even the obvious answers are not necessarily the correct ones and the links often take me to a product or area that I've not seen…

Filtering at source will by definition mean that there are huge gaps in the captured information and if you don't capture the data you can't filter it.I know it costs space…

Yes, I agree. It's a huge commitment, but their experience is worth it, well it is from my point of view And I know that I'm very grateful. Thanks guys.

2003. Wow You just assume that companies and community sites have been around for ever. I know I have. Time did not exist before I was born & the world will end when I die. Or did I misunderstand relativity? But seriously. it wasn't really very long ago when the only purpose of the Internet was to get technical info. No…
