Years ago when I was a mainframe engineer, back when Noah was designing his ark, I got pulled into a mainframe replacement. Yes, the entire mainframe was being swapped out. The machine room had three separate mainframes from separate manufacturers complete with their own strings of disks, tapes and printers. Ours had been…

We had a Bank Holiday in the UK last Monday. I worried all day that I'd miss out on a question, but I caught up on the Tuesday. Whew!

Friday, Day 5. I was expecting a field to compete under the 'anything else' option, but no. So I'm putting my comment here. Hope that's what was expected. I want it all, but I also want to auto-remediate and show a huge variety of views to different classes of users.

While travelling to a new client site I received a call asking how long I would be because the machine room was on fire. I told them to call the fire brigade immediately & that I would be on-site within the hour. They chose not to call the brigade, or do anything else, because they assumed that I would be able to fix it…

Q20 isn't a difficult one, but we all seem to be totally incapable of getting a green tick

Old blown capacitors really stink. Years ago I had some mercury relays blow up. There was mercury everywhere. It was all over the wire-wraps on the backplane of a huge mainframe. And what had they stuffed the relay enclosures with; it smelt horrible. I was the junior & so it was my job to get it all cleaned up. Look up…

Congratulations to you all.

I'm not convinced that the hints for 29 & 30 Aug are particularly useful, but Google came to the rescue for me. I took a guess first though & then confirmed the answer. Isn't it amazing how much useless stuff stays in the back of your mind for just this sort of question.

Q3 I know that my maths is not the best, but I thought I could do.simple 'adding up'.

Hi guys, Q1 this morning does not have the numbers 1 to 5 so I don't know if it is to be ranked left to right or right to left And, more importantly, I can't mark the stars. Q2 seems to respond OK, but I've not submitted anything yet. Thanks Robert

Q10 on Mar 15 There's no published help link, but you might want to take a read of the page at Office 365 Monitoring Tool - Office 365 Health Monitor | SolarWinds I have just got to have a play with some of these new additions.

me too, how sad. I saw the "correct" answer in one of the comments (after I had submitted mine), but it still doesn't make sense to me. The last time round I selected the non-ms answer and got it wrong, on the repeat I selected the one which is not listed & still got it wromg. :( However, what a neat product I've spent…

Q11 18Mar where the question asks for "to" it looks like it was meant to mean "between"

this is such an important feature when there are multiple interest groups & a rather large Orion instance The only alternative is to make a ridiculous number of specific alerts which quickly become a nightmare to maintain Is this on the road map yet?

Nice. I missed that. Many thanks
