In the v12 beta you can map arbitrary OIDs to Node Details fields: NPM 12.0 Beta1 Now Available
-
Thanks for that sir. We'll take a look.
-
It does indeed sound like a service account permission issue. Support ticket would probably be the quickest route to get this nailed down.

Certainly not a known issue- a support case may be the best course of action: SolarWinds Customer Support - We're Here to Help

The MIB DB is updated regularly and available for download in the customer portal. Additional, every new version of NPM will ship with the latest MIB DB. Does this answer the question, or were you looking to include additional MIBs?
-
I assume the browser locale is set to a European region hence the use of the comma? If the number of decimal points is too detailed, you can set a custom format to restrict it.
-
Thank you sir- we've been able to reproduce this and are tracking internally under FB316227.
-
Just so we can reproduce it more efficiently, would it be possible to get a screenshot?
-
It certainly does, however you will likely need to manually configure SNMP on the ESXi box (Configuring SNMP v1/v2c/v3 Using ESXCLI 5.1 | VMware vSphere Blog - VMware Blogs) I would suggest upgrading to the latest version of NPM (10.5) and using the VMWare API-based polling however. Just upgrade, and run a new discovery of…

Not natively, but custom SQL could be used ala: http://thwack.solarwinds.com/message/86288#86288

So this rectangle area is computed from several data points over the sample interval and displayed as one rectangle. We take in the initial value at the start of the interval, the closing value at the end of the interval, the high value during the interval and the low value during the interval. So let’s say on a given 5…

If you're on 10.6, you can create a report with a custom table and report on Groups. Then add group members and group member status as columns.
-
Extra disk utilization (capacity) should be negligible on both the NPM and SQL server. In terms of IOPs, there may be a small improvement in some environments in SQL utilization thanks to query optimizations.

NPM 11.5 introduced a new user right to decouple unmanage role from node management rights. If you haven't upgraded yet - the installer is available in your customer portal

Certainly not a known systemic issue. We test against IE10, and would be unlikely to miss that. Have you tried IE from a different box and / or tried flushing browser cache. If it persists, we should get our support team involved, as that is quite strange.

Unfortunately setting node status from an alert action isn't natively supported functionality today. Potentially you can use a SQL script to work around this and manually set the node status directly accessing the DB. It's definitely a known feature request we are looking to implement.
-
I am afraid that this is not possible in current implementation. My suggestion is to use Traps instead of Syslogs (if possible in your environment): * Setup traps to devices (instead of syslogs) * In Trap viewer set action: ”Change the status of an interface” * Based on the action trigger advanced alert with Custom…

By device code, are we referring to OS image version?

We made some improvements to PDF rendering for 10.7 that may address this issue. Certainly would be worth upgrading to verify. 10.7RC is available in your customer portal: Welcome to the SolarWinds Customer Portal

If the devices behinds the FW are reachable on the secondary circuit, they wouldn't alert at all, since they are still inherently up. In the case of manual failover, your group dependency would take care of that alert storm.
-
Jon, The use case makes complete sense, and that certainly is a workflow we are looking to streamline. I'll ping you offline to see if we can setup some time to chat. Regards, Rob
-
It sounds pretty reasonable to be able to do this in 10.6 reporting. You could create 3 dynamic data sets with the query builder, just like you have outlined already. Create 3 custom tables (might be able to do it in 1) with summarization to get the totals.

This is not a presently known issue- what version of IE are you running? Can we verify we deleted all user cookies / temp cache?

NPM does have built-in integration with NotePager Pro (SMS Messages Anywhere, at Any Time) which would allow OOB dial-out to a number. If I am reading correct, you are also looking to take feedback from the receiving device to clear the alert correct? Regards, Rob
-
Try using ${GroupMemberName} macro in the message body.
-
That is correct, the secondary email address is not used in the same manner. This is a known feature request that we are tracking.
-
Perhaps silly question, but is the interface we're trying to change status of currently managed?
-
Perhaps creating a dynamic group would save you the extra step?
