We do indeed have API available: Orion SDK Information
-
We did introduce some fixes for PDF export in 10.7. That specific issue does not ring a bell, but we did upgrade the rendering engine.
-
Would you perhaps be able to email me a SNMPWalk of that device? http://knowledgebase.solarwinds.com/kb/questions/3145/SolarWinds+SNMP+Walk%3A+A+new+tool+for+collecting+SNMP+MIB+walks rob.hock{at}solarwinds.com

Not at all- keeping up with all of our features is a full-time job. In the old Report Writer you could save a report definition and send it to someone else. That person could then open the report definition and run it in their environment. See NODES_Currently_Down_with_Duration_.OrionReport for an example.

Unfortunately our legal team is very prickly about communicating time frames. I can confirm it's not made an appearance in the 10.7 beta.
-
What version of NPM are you on presently? We have fixed leaks in Network Atlas in older versions.
-
To that end- also check out http://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/2549 We're definitely putting a lot of thought currently into how we want to make syslog not just better, but awesome. Anyone that has any thoughts around this please direct message me and we would love to discuss.

Not a known issue, but we'll dig into it to reproduce. Thanks for the follow-up.
-
Great to have you here!
-
Happy, Unfortunately the link utilization feature is global setting for the map. The ability to define utilization on manual links is definitely a known FR that we are looking at for future release.
-
We like AppNeta as well: http://www.appneta.com/blog/solarwinds-invests-in-appneta/

Those fields are typically specific to SNMP. The one caveat being we pull AD site information for location via WMI. Agent is performing the same WMI queries as remote polling.
-
Did you perhaps edit the sensor to select the interface?
-
Unfortunately there are quite a few variables in this equation (amount of data / HW performance / etc.) This guide provides some further guidance: http://www.solarwinds.com/documentation/Orion/docs/OriondbBestPractices.pdf

That behavior is a byproduct of the recent improvements to zoom-level aggregation. Since the location groups are now dynamically created, they don't really have a precise location. The hovers for manually placed groups and individual locations should still reflect precise location.
-
Andrew, We did have a DST bug that could cause similar behavior: NPM 10.7 / SAM 6.1 / NCM 7.2.X Daylight Savings Time Bug HF would need to be applied on Main and Additional pollers.

Likely it's an SSL binding issue. Check the SSL bindings in IIS. Also check SSLEnabled field in DB: Select * from Websites Here you should see a list of websites associated with your Orion instance. There is a column labeled SSLEnabled which should be set to 1 on any row associated with an SSL Enabled web site. If this is…

Very strange behavior. Our QA tested this exact scenario but did not see the issue. Would you perhaps be able to post the support case # and we can follow-up.
-
You may want to check out our Failover Engine (SolarWinds Orion Failover Engine (FoE)– Never lose visibility) if you haven't already. It would fulfill the use case as well.
-
Both answers are correct. This should be fixed in 10.7 as well via SNMP.
-
Can I ask what specific setting so we can test?
-
Not at present, but definitely a known FR. Tracked internally as #251292.
-
Support ticket may be the best path forward at this point.
-
Sure thing. If you create a new report - add a new custom table along with the Caption and SNMP version columns
-
Awesome! Great work. Thanks John!
-
Brilliant sir!
-
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
-
Wow! Great detail sir.
-
Keen observation sir. Occasionally we update the verbiage of the existing post to reflect current direction. Expect an updated WWWO post-10.7 shortly- we just need to clear with those legal types what we can convey. It will be a good one.
