Either could cause an issue. If SEP is installed on the Orion box, try turning off the IPS / Firewall.

All maps are contained in MapStudioFiles table. The best way for moving them elsewhere is backup of this table from original place and restore it to the target database.
-
You got it sir.
-
You could indeed create an alert rule to take an action of writing the message out to a file. Kiwi will also log directly to a flat text file.
-
Which service is responsible for taking the data out of MSMQ and putting it into the database? From looking at the names, I'd figure it would be "SolarWinds Collector Data Processor"? I checked the logs in ProgramData\SolarWinds\ and do see SQL connection errors in the DataProcessor.Log. How many attempts does the service…

Barring custom integration work, you could also setup a reverse proxy (Ex: MS UAG (Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway | UAG | Secure Remote Access)) to publish the interface externally.
-
You may want to try the new web-based report writer in 10.6, it's a fair bit more flexible. I modified the query to use time-range variables so you can select the time range in UI: SELECT Convert(DateTime,Floor(Cast((DateTime) as Float)*24)/24,0) AS SummaryDate, Nodes.NodeID AS NodeID, Nodes.Caption AS NodeName,…
-
That looks quite correct. May be best to get our support team involved: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/
-
And I stand corrected - some Advanced Alert macros don't have a new-format equivalent, however they should still function.
-
Apologies sir- we have seen some caching issues with similar symptoms, but not a systemic root cause as I'm aware. If you can send me the case number, I will follow-up.
-
Technically? Yes. Supported? No.. Ideally you would create images of the same size / aspect ratio and replace the ones found here: /Orion/images/WorldMap/marker-*.png
-
Unfortunately it's more a matter of SWIS communication not supporting multiple data sources / instances than just the site bindings.
-
Apologies for the frustration. The lack of chart filtering is a known pain, that should likely be included in our next release. If you try the 10.6 RC, you will see the options available.
-
Using Kiwi to filter and forward would certainly be a good option. There are free solutions that could work as well (syslogd, etc) but won't be as easy to configure.
-
If you happen to be using NX4500 or NX6500, SNMP walks of the devices would be super handy. Please feel free to email them to me: rob.hock{at}solarwinds.com

Jason, Adatole is correct, the limiting factor here is effectively element count at ~100k.
-
For CPU information - the Top CPUs by Percent Load should give you the granularity you are looking for. Similarly: Top XX Monitored Processes by CPU Load and Average Memory Utilization should have the required data.

This setting relates to Toolset integration (where you can right-click on a node link and launch tools on your desktop). With “Allow Secure Data on Web” checked, the community string will be included with the context info provided to the tool. With it unchecked, the tool will not get the community string and will have to…

There is no quantifier in the token that can control the format. It simply uses "the current locale" of the Orion server. This is controlled by the Windows regional settings in control panel. You may need to restart services for the changes to take effect.
-
Apologies, this will only apply to active basic alerts. Advanced alerts are available in the AlertStatus table for a SQL data source.
-
If possible I would try to shift some of the load from the APE to the MP and possibly increase HW on MP if possible. Also, what do the specs on the SQL server look like (including disk config.)
-
Have you tried to reinstall the integration service? Installer can be found on your local server here: http://SolarWindsServer:port/swtoolset.exe. Make sure the service is running and restart the browser.

Generally speaking, the target needs to specified in a separate part of the link, not the querystring of the href attribute: <a href="http://someserver/Orion/Report.aspx?Report=..." target="_blank">My Report Link Text</a> Links in web-based reports should pop in a new window, but at present there is no equivalent to…
-
Apologies for the inconvenience sir. We can confirm it is not fixed in 11.0, but is considered for future release.
-
Have you checked your polling interval? Settings ->Polling Settings. We may only have singular data points for smaller time intervals.
-
Improving the granularity of feature security as per the FR is still on the radar, just not as prioritized as some of the other major features we have been working on.
-
Let's try executing a DB maintenance job (Start > All Programs > SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features > Database Maintenance, and then click Start) Otherwise, we should probably get the support team involved to troubleshoot further.
-
Have we removed the agent from the remote system and tried to redeploy from sensor console? If unsuccessful, support ticket would be best path forward: http://www.solarwinds.com/support/ If you could perhaps send me the ticket number, I'd be interested to follow-up on it.

Dedicated DNS server is not a requirement for NPM. Having DNS available is always nice however.
