Surely- when you're creating the datasource for the Custom Chart select the "Dynamic Query Builder" Option:
-
I'll follow-up with them sir.
-
What if we had auto-dependency mapping in NPM? Assuming we did, how would you want to interact with it? EX: Overriding any mis-identified deps, alert supression, etc.
-
The web-based report-writer introduced in 10.6 has the ability to hard-set units of measure.
-
Those appear to be the chart trend lines. If you edit the resource, you should be able to disable them.
-
UI Issue- thanks for flagging sir. Setting also found under Settings->Polling Settings
-
We weren't able to repro the issue with 10.7? Are you presently on 10.7? If so, we would likely then have to run this through support and grab some diags.
-
That is really quite strange- we have not seen this on 10.7. Running report writer in 2003 compatibility mode should workaround, but a support case may be advised so we can understand why this occurred. Just curious- what features of Win32 Report Writer are you using that aren't available in the new web-reports?
-
If we're having detection issues, definitely open a ticket with support and send over a PCAP with representative traffic. We can trace it from there.
-
John, Not at present sir, as it's a binary option. It is certainly something we will bear in mind for future release.
-
Our QA guys just did another pass on this functionality using those browsers- no issues. Support case may be best so we can dig in.
-
The v12 beta does give the ability to manually override status / thresholds. If you'd like to check it out, definitely sign up for the beta.
-
Would it be possible to get a screenshot of the pop-up so we can see it in context?
-
Apologies for mis-reading. Rate certainly should work. We should also verify the poller is enabled. Screenshot of working UnDP w/ Radial Gauge below:

Try putting this query with multiple unions into the new web reporting (it may work in the old Win32 app): Select 'F - ' + coalesce(CAST (( Select AVG(ResponseTime.Availability) FROM Nodes WITH (NOLOCK) INNER JOIN ResponseTime ON (Nodes.NodeID = ResponseTime.NodeID) WHERE DateTime BETWEEN…

Just for comparison purposes, can we try to login as the local administrator on the remote workstation from the DameWare console?
-
Assuming the action we are looking for is an email action, we'll need to "Add new Action" to the reset action, select "Email/Page Action" and configure the desired settings (including SMTP server.) Otherwise, you will just see an event occur in the console (default) upon reset. Alerts are covered in depth in page 81 of the…

Thank you sir: rob.hock(at)solarwinds.com

What are your current specs for NPM and SQL? If we offload the NTA DB, there is less of a concern on the SQL side.
-
Definitely check out the improvement in the 10.6 RC. For charts where it was getting in the way (node / interface primarily) the hover will now pop either above or below the viewable area of the chart itself.
-
Brandon, Unfortunately we cannot commit to time frame. It's certainly a prioritized fix however.
-
Unfortunately that number is an internal designator that is not exposed to the Internet. Please ping me though and we can discuss status in the future.
-
Aaran, Indeed, NPM 11.5 was tested against MSM720/760. APs can be individually managed and placed on Atlas floorplan maps.
-
It could indeed vary based on the sysoid returned. If we can determine the OID used for CPU / memory for those errant devices, a new poller could be created.
-
Have you configured any device to send traps to the new system? Traps are more of a "push" and are typically not gathered ala syslog. It may be helpful to try a demo of our stand-alone receiver tool to validate trap config: http://www.solarwinds.com/engineers-toolset/snmp-trap-receiver.aspx
-
We haven't had any systemic reports of map issues in 10.6, but we did make some further optimizations to Network Atlas maps in 10.7. 10.7 RC is available in your customer portal. If that doesn't make an appreciable impact, a support ticket would probably be best path.

Try this: Remove all headers when using printable=true

Sorry for the obvious question, but were we getting HW health information for this node at some point? What model switch is it? For the sake of clarity, it may be best to delete the node and re-add it, but understandable you would not want to lose historical data.
-
For the second half of this query- are we saying that accessswitch01 actually is down, and we want to display DOWN status instead of UNREACHABLE?
-
Assuming you looked at Alert Central? This was the exact use case we were trying to address there. If you're using Email->SMS gateway anyway and don't need a serial modem dialer, then you would be able to use AC instead of Notepage. AC has far more features.
