  • I would definitely be interested in MORE COLUMNS! We have a monitor, clearly visible to all, that now has 2 browser windows... They show 2x3 columns... one for each major item... Email, VoIP, Network, Wireless, Links, Servers - I'd like to have 6+ columns available... All I am looking for is a Red/Green/Yellow light with…
  • Correct! I edited the post to reflect that.
  • I am now able to schedule tasks with LOCAL accounts as well as DOMAIN accounts.
  • OK, I can see the Down Nodes report in the Report Writer (NPM)... however, I cannot find a "schedule job" feature as exists in the NCM module.
  • I have created a scheduled job that EMAILS the DOWN NODES report to me. However, this report only contains the items in NCM... many of my items are 'trapped' in NPM. After all, this is where I monitor all my items across the network. Is there a similar DOWN NODES report to run in NPM to email on a periodic basis?
  • It looks like option C was the correct answer... When I DISABLED the “Network Access: Do not allow storage of passwords and credentials” under local policies/security options... I AM ABLE to schedule jobs just fine! Thank you for all your help! <This post was corrected to state it was DISABLED, not Enabled!>
  • We are currently using 9.x, but are planning to upgrade to 10.x in the next 3-6 months. We could have devices down anywhere in the network, not necessarily all in one site where dependencies would cover them all. But even if we have an entire site down... i might have the entire site come back up, but a device here or…

Yep... assigned correctly. c. This is Enabled... I have requested that it be disabled... So, now we'll have to see, once I get that disabled. I will…

  • You could then.. use MOZY to back them up online where they will be accessible from any Internet location. Bingo!
  • but you could narrow it down to only that specific device, could you not?
  • Open your Syslog viewer on the Orion Server. Click FILE > SETTINGS > Alerts/Filter Rules (Tab). Click ADD NEW RULE Now define the rule as you wish.. Specificy the IP/DNS of the device Under the "Message" tab, you can look for Kelly, Then under "Alert Actions" tab, Click ADD NEW ACTION, and select DISCARD THE SYSLOG…
  • We do nightly backups of both. We will have a device suddenly reboot due to difference circumstances, or something suddenly not work properly, and I always go back to my daily "change" email and it will tell me what was different from the night before. It has allowed me to quickly bring a site back up.
