ProgramData is a hidden directory, you can change your view settings to show hidden files/folders, or you can just type C:\ProgramData in Windows Explorer and hit enter - so long as you have permissions you'll find yourself there. Have fun updating your MIB!

We had a similar problem which I believe was solved by a complete uninstall and reinstall of the Orion Core when logged in as local admin. Any clues in \ProgramData\SolarWinds\Logs\Orion? CoreBusinessLayerHost.txt and BusinessLayerHost.txt might shed some light.

Just to add to the suggestions above - a good use of it I've seen has been to configure a NOC that cycles through site maps. I remember a network team that relied pretty much solely on a NOC which showed them sites around their county and what state they (and their devices) were in.
