This would be a really useful addition. We have an e-mail processing application and if we were able to set a monitor along the lines of "number of unread e-mails > X" we would be able to automatically detect issues rather than have someone monitor that inbox by hand.

Turns out great minds think alike alexslv, I just tried to do something with Mitel monitoring today that needed this exact same functionality. After Shaun recommended searching Google... well... here we are!
