Like RichC, we also have issues on our Cisco switches CPU usage climbing to 100% when a rediscovery of interfaces is done. This happened every 60 minutes, changing the polling settings for this rediscovery to 1440 minutes, reduces the peak CPU load to once a day. However, the company would like to see a global way to…

In my NPM 10.3.1 max Topology interval can be set to 1440 minutes, means 1 day.

Looks good, only it looks like the times displayed for nodes down is not correct. Any ideas what causes this? Do you see the correct times in the down nodes counter/

Hi Jeff, thanks
-
Looks good, though i have to check if one of the parents is down what will happen. so far it seems ok, thanks.

Hi The Goof, Thanks for the hint. Tried the OID on the DRAC, it seems to work only i do not get data on my node details page on the webpage. Did set the oid to table and marked it to display as tabel and text in the node details webpage, no history, but no data. Do i forget something here? Any suggestions?

Mavturner, Thanks for the suggestion, cleaned the autocomplete content from my browser, no result. Before the upgrade to NPM 10.2.1 i had a dropdown in the username field of several users i could choose from, now none is there. All my users experience this, no more dropdown of users previously logged in. I dont like my…

I have the same issue, NPM 11.0.1, Network Atlas is extremely slow and unresponsive some times, both on the NPM server and on my desktop.

Got an answer from Support: "I have confirmation that the 'Boot Time' as displayed on the Storage Manager Web Console is the time that the VM was powered on. So the Up Time displayed is the length of time the virtual machine was running. OS reboots are not taken into account here, it is simply the amount of time the…

Opened a case, Case #307043 with SW support.

This issue has been around since 10.2 introduction, has a fix been made in the meantime? Is this fixed or is there a way to enable/disable this on multiple nodes or to enable/disable this global? Is the fix or feature available in NPM 10.4? Otherwise is there an enhancement request for this feature to be build in in new…

Hi Sirpaw, Same issue here, thanks for the workaround suggestion, but i hope SW will fix this in a future release. I would not like to go into the DB everytime a node has been added. RJager

Add me to the request for an audit trail, that would be great feature and an improvement of the functionality in larger environments.

Hi ET, Is there another way to unmanage bulk devices other then then suggested by using TSQL? Your answer suggests there is, if so, i am interested in how to...

This is an issue i bumped in a while ago, don't know if it is by design or a bug. Would strongly support this as a new feature request. Creating NPM Groups and not be able to filter on it, makes not much sense.

Have the same error here, will check with support if this fix is ok, but thanks for posting.
-
Hi, I fully agree, support this request because it adds functionality to see who is out there and who is doing what.
-
This would be nice, in a number of setups we have a dedicated line and a backup line (slower), we only want the dependencie option activated when the 2 parents are down. If one parent is down nothing is wrong and we should only see the one parent as down. thanks

We have the same issue on our Cisco devices since the upgrade to NPM 10.2.1 The redicovery of interfaces was set to 60 minutes, this has been changed to 1440 minutes (once a day). I don't know if you can shut this down. Did you shut down the topology layer 2 and 3 off only on your Cisco devices, or on all devices. I…

Add me to the list as well, the current info is not valid for our windows boxes. I also have a doubt aboubt valid info that comes from our ESX servers.
-
Hi rcahill, Tried to get the service tags and model out of our ESX servers, did not succeed. The OID's for that only work on windows servers, not on ESXi 4.1. I assume you succeeded in getting that info out on your windows boxes?
