This is what I have as well. No tabs across the top, just this showing my one Orion server. I am on version 2017.1 though, so guessing this is not in my release?

Took the survey. I am still lobbying for an easy way to not monitor certain nodes, either individually or by any group (like location) when scheduled maintenance on network lines, power, etc takes place. This should just be a point and click thing on the manage nodes screen, or something just as easy. Way too complicated…

Thanks designerfx for that tip! Life just keeps getting easier with SW, and its great user community!!!

For today's (Thursday) question, here is a good hint: Lowering the Detection Deficit: What Industries Can Gain from Continuous Monitoring | Risk Management Monitor

The old school true sidekicks all got beat. Kids these days. No respect for those that blazed the trail: Robin Barney Rubble Barney Fife Jiminy Cricket Bullwinkle Oh well, we can always hope for next year...

1973 - My most favorite song of all time. Come and Get Your Love by Redbone. Made famous again from the opening sequence in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie... Redbone - Come and Get Your Love [Music Video] (Studio Version Audio) - YouTube

I just did the 12.1 upgrade from 11.something and I see that you have granted my wish: Yeah! Thank you!!!! Now, one more request, be able to do this to a group of nodes at once. One can hope...

Thanks all! First time winner on the monthly missions for me too. I've been a member since May 2016.

KISS - I was a card carrying member of the ARMY... Cheap Trick Foghat Boston Blue Oyster Cult Alice Cooper (He actually played at our local PAC last night. Unfortunately, event sold out long before I found out about it.)

Yep, that's what I did. Nuts...

OK, got another chance and was wrong with C and D.
-
Couldn't agree more. After reading the question and the clues closely, I got it wrong also with A, C and D. A - Censure from future contracts - also has to be considered also has to be "withdrawal or suspension of a business-critical service", Throw this one out, and mark everyone correct is my remediation to this…

It's also the snow moon for those of us not in the warmer climates...

By kids, I mean anyone not old enough to be watching these great sidekicks back in the 60's. The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show - Wikipedia - 1959-1964 "Hey, Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit outta my hat." The Andy Griffith Show - Wikipedia 1960-1968 Had other great characters besides Barney, Gomer Pyle, who went on to star in his…

I am thankful for TDS for the network they've built for us. 80Gb ring for our large sites, and fiber metro-ethernet for smaller sites. And I am thankful for Solarwinds to keep tabs on this network!

1979 - Got a job out of tech school programming on an NCR Century computer with 16KB of memory (Yes K not M or G). As our organization grew, I moved into management. After several years of figuring out that wasn't for me, I was given the opportunity to move back into a staff role as our first network engineer. Been doing…

Things we've been doing over the past 10 years since we built our current data center. We have about 3000 sq ft of raised computer room floor space. 4 CRAC units in 2 completely redundant chiller loops to the roof. Virtualization of servers - although we've grown our data enter to about triple the number of servers we had…

Just because... Figure that out and you'll know the answer.

Getting back to today's question... There is no help in the hint at all as to the correct answer. The words compliance, HIPAA, and the rest were no where to be found within the article proved as the hint. I looked at the WIKIs for the various compliance standards and found no references to these 3 frameworks either. So, if…

John, off hand, do you know a away to set the font for the script output? I looked around and could not find any place to do that but I am pretty new to SW. LMK... Thanks, Rick

Actually, maybe has to be considered correct. If yes, is correct, then maybe is also correct. If no is correct, then maybe is also correct. IMO anyways...

Besides SW products, we use BBN (prior to implementing SW NPM), and a home grown WAN monitor, Wireshark. Also use Cisco Prime for wireless lan mgmt. PuTTY for SSH access.

Guessed and got it right! Use the force, or at least the historical tendencies...

All are great points, but 8 and 9 are front and center in our organization right now.

DanielleH One more chance? New hint wasn't up when I did my second try.

And the 3pm time of day thing doesn't really work either. It's 3:11pm here and the alerts I recently added did not fire off.
-
Will, so right now, I have my alerts set to check daily (M-F) at 3pm. Should I remove that? Here are pertinent settings: Evaluation Frequency - every 24 hours Severity - informational Reset Condition - reset this alert auto after 30 minutes. Time of Day - Specify time of day schedule for this alert - 3pm-330pm Trigger…

I knew it! The government has servers and apps and databases that are tracking alien life here on earth... govalfapp01 gov - government alf - alien life form And they're tracking alien mothers too: govbdmalf01p db - database of malf - mothers of alien life forms I'm searching for the app in the store right now!
-
Will, thanks, that idea will work for me. I have about 40 locations so it is manageable to create an alert for each and run it once a day. That way, any new stuff that gets added will be automatically updated. One more question... How do I automatically acknowledge all of the alerts that this generates? I don't see anything…
