I have only figured out how to successfully use a custom poller graph for just one node per time. Every time I try to use the web based report writer for making a graph of one UnDP for multiple nodes it never graphs correctly. Also, even with selecting one UnDP for one Node it doesn't give me the flexibility I want with…

Where is a link to the documentation for 10.5?
-
no effect
-
Yes, you would think. At least give you a little note that says, "oh, hey...btw...your install isn't going to work if you use your AD admin account with permissions as is..." I hope it works for you.
-
This would be awesome. Has there been any movement on this? We monitor several thousand Ruckus APs and Zone Directors.

I tried to upgrade, too. It also failed. It got through to a point and there was a box that said that something was running and needed to close (I don't remember what it was specifically) and when I clicked the ok button or whatever seemed like the best option to continue the install, the wizard just quit on me. If I try…

recycle them and donate.

Your training video link doesn't work...http://www.solarwinds.com/resources/videos/how-to-use-the-solarwinds-orion-report-writer.html?CMP=PRD-TAD-SWI-NPM_Resources-NPM-VID

Good luck! Hope you get your issue resolved!

I'm on the phone with them right now. I'll see if our issue gets resolved and I'll post.

I cannot find any web based reports in the "Report From Orion Report Writer" resource. Am I missing something or can I only use the type = report writer reports for the resources? I do not see any of my custom ones I made on the web there or any of the stock ones already there.
-
Ok. So it seems like we finally got ours to work. There is a permissions issue that we had during the install. If you set your user's ACL settings down to "never notify," reboot the server, and re run the wizard then it should hopefully work. Go into programs and right click Orion NPM and select repair. That should run the…

I'll contact support and see what they say. I'll try and remember to post an update when I hear back about this.

Ok. But I noticed that what is showing up in TrunkMode for this one node is not correct, it is showing as unknown rather than trunk when it says trunk on the web for it. My vlans show up correctly when I query it. What is displaying in udt_port.TrunkMode is consistent with what is being displayed in…
-
Gotcha. A bit after I posted that, I had a feeling that is what it was, not the trunk/access.

What I do is go to network sonar discovery in settings then click scheduled discovery results. (If you don't have any scheduled discoveries running, you just select the discovery you want on the Network Sonar Discovery page then click import new results.) This should return you several options where you can select whether…

Then it seems like you're just going to have to get an additional poller. I know that we tried really hard to get around it in our environment. We even talked to one of their PMs to try and get a work around. If you know of any interfaces that you are willing to part with, you can try weeding them out, which will reduce…

I was curious, are there any verbs in the SDK that would allow me to do something similar to this programatically?
-
thanks soo much! That did it!

Another question. Have you been able to find another source for the port type other than PortType in NodePortInterfaceMap? I really need the trunk/access port data that is showing up in the port details. I can find it no problem when it shows up within the interface details like it does on some nodes. However, when it…
-
What is UDT_PortToEndpointCurrent.ConnectionType? Is that where trunk/access are coming from? I've been trying to create a report of port type and vlans per a set of nodes for a while. I have one that works, but not for every node.
-
The interfaces you delete won't come back in discoveries unless you delete and re-add the whole node. If you have your discoveries set up to run every day and you tell them to import only new things, it will only show you new nodes and the interfaces associated with those new nodes. It won't show you "new" interfaces as in…
-
Thanks for those tips, Serena. I have a question about selecting interfaces. Would I have to click the Loopback within each selected node? From the screenshot it looks like it would be node1 Interfaces1, node2 interfaces2, etc. not all the interfaces from all the nodes grouped together by type? If I had 1000 loopbacks to…
-
Yep. Ours got like that. We did end up getting two extra pollers (along with their licences). When we weren't in production, I added every single node and interface we had to one poller which resulted in it being like 800% capacity. What happens then is that they "throttle" your polling times. So even though we had it set…

Will this generic mechanism to add wireless vendors for support definitely include Ruckus APs and Zone Directors? I have contacts at Ruckus that I can provide if needed to have Ruckus supported by SolarWinds faster.
-
JiriPsota, do you have any additional information in regards to this on how I can assign the ruckus poller to these nodes? thanks.
-
I joined your query to my query that gave me all the APs that weren't showing up in the Wireless_AccessPoints table. None showed that they had any ruckus pollers associated with them. I also ran a few individual node ids just to check that way too and didn't come up with anything. How would I go about assigning the ruckus…

Thanks. That's what I was thinking, but I wanted some confirmation.
-
awesome. thanks!

do you know if that last xx events filtered resource works with 10.5? I added the files in the right directories on my server the other day and I never got it to show up in my resource list.
