I got this error and I resolved it by stopping and starting our SolarWinds site on the server using IIS Manager.

If you are in a group details view, you can select the top 'blank' map then select the ${Name} format like my screenshot. Then as long as your map name and the name of your group details views match, the correct map will show up. Did you ever find your answer? My networks maps update based on group. When I edit the map settings in my group, I have Select Network Map set to blank (at the top of the list) and the Map Name Format set to ${Name}. As long as I have the name of the map the same as my group name it applies the correct map to my group.

I don't think you can create extra tabs on just one node. The nodes are associated with views and if you change your node view, it updates for them all, which I guess you are experiencing. You can create a new view and apply that to a certain device type. You can then change things on that one type and the changes will not…
