ok.. so I'm making progress. Thanks for the help but now the action only happens twice. The trigger occurs and emails me. After 5 minutes, another email is sent to me but it stops sending email after that point. I have 'Execute this Action repeatedly while the Alert is Triggered' for a 5 minute action execution interval.…

Jiri, I'm using version 10.3. I rebooted the server but the problem still exist. The db is on a different VM then the NPM. I wonder if I need to restart the db VM.

No I'm not using UDT. I rebooted the server so I'm guessing that would restart the jobengine. I agree the problem appears to be related to the db. The db table has the correct community string.

Why would I not have the Alert Escalation tab? How can I get it? Is there another way to retrigger if I don't have that tab?

Did anyone find a solution to this problem? I'm having the same issue where my node logfiles are filling up with snmp request from solarwinds using 'public' instead of the changed community string.

What is the escalation portion ? I don't see a tab for it... I'm using Advanced Alert and see 7 tabs ( General, Trigger Condition, Reset Condition, Alert Suppression, Time of Day, Trigger Actions and Reset Actions).

Thanks for the response. I do not see a 'IP_ADDRESS_TYPE' column in the nodes table. Report Writer also does not see the column

No, I'm still waiting for a response. In my environment, Solarwinds is running on Windows 2003. What version of Report Writer are you using? I didn't see the problem in 9.5 but noticed it after upgrading to 10.0.
