  • Hello and thank you for the articel, I have one problem with the new EOC design. Every time I create a view I ALWAYS see the Enterprise Summary view. The only Way is to get knowledge of the view ID ant type everything by hand but then all the added widgets are not working. Could you please give somewhere an overview how I…
  • I've created a Report which uses SWQL to look for all Virtual Servers on the ESX-Hosts which are not monitred. The WSQL was very short: select vn.name AS VirtualServer, vn.GuestName AS OperatingSystem,vh.HostName AS ESXHost from Orion.VIM.VirtualMachines vn join Orion.VIM.Hosts vh on vn.HostID=vh.HostID where vn.GuestName…
  • Thank you for the information. Maybe Solarwinds should make this configurable in the settings area.
  • SEM 7.1 is shipped. I wonder why I do not see anything about this on THWACK?!
  • At Feature request you say you are working on Support for SQL 2016 and 2017 for auditing. May you tell us when this might be in an beta/release stadium?
  • Sorry I didn't see your comment before. Thanks for the suggestion but be aware taht the report only shows the Virtual Severs which are not yet monitored. You see with this report not the powerstate of the servers which are monitored (vn.Nodestatus=0). Kind regards, Ralf
  • If you like only to see the running VM's which are not monitored you can add in the where-clause an AND vn.PowerState = 'poweredOn'
  • I've got "error" when I try to answer the second question the first time and no it's wrong anwered..
  • Hi, it seems that Notepad is not allowed to save the file. Try to open Notepad as Administrator and try again. Kind regards, Ralf
  • Hi, what do you mean with "site" a data center, an office, an submarine or moon base? What latency you want to check? between two sites or from a central site to all others? The easiest way: take a node in the site do a ping test and check the latency. You may also look at the NetPath service. It can check the network path…
  • What would also be cool is a map-view of the trust relationships and the forest(s). Something like this (I'm not the GUI designer in our Company ) if you hover over the map the basic information will be shown.:
  • Hello, I'm facing the same "issue". The first problem here is that the used "Oracle User Experince Monitor" only allows one set of Statisic/Message so you may add as many of the "Used Space in Tablespace (%)" componets as needed and change the tablespace name in the query. The second problem is that you may have more the…
  • Hi, which kind of return code you send when you get that error? Because I use in my Unix Shell/Perl and also in the Powershell scripts return codes and it works perfectly if I use exit codes 0,1,2,3 . Kind regards, Ralf

  • May we have a little bit more details? When I see the error message you may double check the server or instance name which you are using I would compare what'S configured in Appinsight with the what you have configured for that test. BTW: which template are you using for that test?
  • Hi, I have a different Problem. We also use a central server for auditing SQL Servers. The connection test works properly but the auditor not fires up. After A while the error message says I do not have the correct permissions and should check the permissions. Any Idea if there are logfiles to look after? I reinstalled the…
  • Hi, is there any update on that? I've now got my NetApps monitored. Reason: I tried to poll the filer not the Ontap manager Kind regards, Ralf
