I have done the upgrade and so far just a few quirks. But if i were you, I would wait until at least SP1 comes out. The new maps are not that much better yet.
-
I did the upgrade and so far, the only problem that i am having is my nested maps no longer show the correct status of my devices. any map that is more that 2 layers deep, show up as unknown. So i have to redesign my maps, which is a pain in the @$$.

I have not noticed this issue either. I was just telling him to post the fix here for others to see. Mine is fine.

Use the code below to monitor a vlan. But you could also replace interface Vlan??? with interface GigabitEthernet1/41 or any other port that you want to monitor. ip flow-cache timeout active 1 ! mls aging fast time 8 threshold 127 mls aging normal 32 mls flow ip full no mls flow ipv6 mls nde sender version 7 ! interface…

I didnt run the repair after i moved mine and they are working fine. Yes, I would re-integrate NCM to NPM after.

choose custom time and enter the start and end dates. you can choose any month, day, or year that you want.
-
I get that bored, but mine refreshes fine. :-)
-
I have tried this and i am still getting flows from all active interfaces on the router, including the loopback interface.
-
this command "ip flow ingress layer2-switched vlan X" does not work on a 6509 with "Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software IOS (tm) s72033_rp Software (s72033_rp-PK9SV-M), Version 12.2(17d)SXB11a, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)".

I have a few alerting problems with 9.5 but they went away once i installed SP1. The difference may be that stat seeker is alerting instantly when the circuit goes down. NPM waits 1 min before it alerts by default. I have mine set to alert after the circuit has been in a down state for 3 min. It has been accurate so far. I…

still does not work. AlertStatus.ActiveObject is the same as Volumes.VolumeID but I am still getting the error. I can make it work as a SQL query in Database Manager, it just will not work as a Custom Query on the NPM Summary page. here is the current code Select s.ObjectName as ServerVolume, s.TriggerTimeStamp as…

Or you can open the Average and Peak Traffic Rates - Last 7 Days report, click on the Filter Results tab, add a new elementary condition. Click the first * and choose Date/Time (Traffic Filtering Only) and choose Time of Day (24 Hour Format), click on the "is equal to" and change it to greater or equal, then click the last…

Yep, thanks, I figured it out about 2 seconds before you posted this. it was the SQLDMO.DLL that was not registered correctly. Thanks for the help.

I am getting an error when trying to export custom properties. I can not export any of them.
-
Check the map properties and make sure the the %down to show map status down is set to 50% or lower on all maps. That is the only way i was able to fix that on mine.

Turning on monitoring of flows for unmanaged interfaces does allow you to monitor the flows from those interfaces, but you will still have the error messages saying that you are recieving flow from unmanaged interfaces. Also, you want to be careful about which interfaces you pull flows from, as you can start getting double…

it is my understanding that you have to monitor the host with ICMP only for Poll for VMSphereto work properly and report battery and drive status. I was also told after a 2.15hr call with SolarWinds that CIM is required to poll batter status (not available in ESXi 4.1 or below) and that you had to have IBM Director…

Actually it does impact the working of the product. When using IE8, i see the errors and the web console runs very slow, which i thought was a server or software issue with Orion for a while, had several post and a service ticket opened on it. It wasn't until i loaded Firefox and a few other browsers that i realized that…
-
I didn't open a ticket, but the fix was to reinstall .NET 2.0.
-
I have created a ticket 144874 - "Arithmetic Overflow Error" I will post all finding here, just in case someone else has the issue.

after adding, this is what i get: Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.…

Can you give me more details on integrating NPM with HEAT? I am trying to do this and dont know where to start.
-
The first option fixed the problem. I stopped the website, deleted everything in the Inetpub\SolarWinds\Orion folder, then ran the config wizard to only install the website. Thanks for the help.
-
Jasonyau's suggestion didn't work. On the first option that you posted, will that remove all devices? because this is the production setup and i dont want to have to start over.
-
yes i have. i dont have any views with netflow in it. it still shows up as and installed module at the top of the page.
-
I was given a fix, but I will have to search for what it was. When I find it, I will post the fix here.
-
I have had no problems with the services during the uninstall but the module still shows up on the website. How do i remove it?
-
which mib are you polling on the 6509?

It is my understanding that any monitored node that is down, has high ping time, or has packet loss will show up in the nodes with problems. I have not been able to filter this. I ended up just not monitoring those ports.
