Hi slebbon Is it possible for you to re-create the same situation in your environment? I want to know if u get repetitive alerts when we set evaluate every 30 mins if the trigger condition is: memory>x value for 10 mins reset condition would be: no reset, trigger each time the condition is met. If its possible, then…
-
Thanks...Lets see how it turns out once I explain them in detail....
-
if u click on advanced and then click on add section, u will get another one like this.. But this is complex condition usage.. so u need to see if it works for ur logic...

Hi Steven, Its both for me...ESX and ESXi as well.
-
Yes I had verified but will validate it again....
-
Thanks...
-
thanks for extending the help... Sure, i will give u a buzz if my colleagues fine it difficult...
-
Licensing is suggested to be calculated in terms of how many interfaces u want to monitor. But that doesn't imply about ICMP nodes not getting counted for license consumption....
-
Thanks :-)

aLTeReGo Is this available in VMAN now? I am referring to monitoring of XEN hosts,,,
-
nks7892 Thanks.. i was able to make some progress using below conditions... can u also help me with alert variables that would help the team getting such alerts to understand?
-
sorry i missed the BIND DNS here... u can ignore my query...
-
i agree completely.. the new installer is super smooth...
-
sorry i couldnt respond. As krishna mishra mentioned below, WMI wont work. U need use SNMP for it. For older iLO versions you might have to make use of some templates if it doesnt come by default. iLO4 gives it by default once you configure the SNMP.
-
i was told by support to enable TLS on 6.5 version but thats not working correctly on all ESX hosts... regd disabling of TLS on Solarwinds Pollers, i havent tried yet... for now we are relying on iLO monitoring of each host for hardware health... if you do succeed by using any option, then please let me know...
-
we have applied this for almost 20 hosts and keeping in observation for another week.. I shall post an update after that...
-
@"aLTeReGo" not sure about the passive part.. it was working earlier and then suddenly stopped... Its a Linux box so dont get a option to run via browser...
-
and i have not changed anything on template too..
-
the reason i mentioned for List resources was incase u have also enabled SNMP.. Maybe u can get support review your scenario...
-
While installing Solarwinds, did u select OLV install or skippped it? If u had selected then it creates a separate DB where all traps and syslog data goes in... And if u have not bought license for OLV then post 30 days it comes to basic features but u can still alert on the traps/syslog... below link for details of…
-
then it would take 1 license for every server...it will show u in that monitor itself as to how many licensed nodes that is attached to...
-
i see the same.. but still the available poller in GUI doesnt seem to work, its not capturing the accurate results for CPU and Memory....
-
yes i can understand its not possible right away.. but hope these Vendors like Aruba/Palo Alto Riverbed are soon supported for hardware.. For now m able to get the OIDs and utilizing the traps and UnDP methods so that team can get the alerts...
-
status has changed is not giving the option of wait time.. Try using the advanced option below, u will get an option but will need some testing to be done...
-
Then what does the Rediscovery settings do then? In the polling settings we have this option which says rediscovery interval. Will this not rediscover and identify and later poll and show the status? This is something very basic according to me.
-
Sure, i will do that...

Thanks...I didn't see the attachment earlier...will check and put it forward to our admins
