Hi kamlesh.ghelani For Brocade, Solarwinds doesnt discover much via SNMP... It would be better to configure custom poller and use that for your requirement. I had done it for CPU and memory for the Brocade Switches...

i believe two way should be possible now as well. If solarwinds sends down alert and then and Up alert for reset, the ticketing system should have the rules to understand that and close it...in my experience this is what i have seen it. Not only Solarwinds but it could be any other tool.. The monitoring tool send the…

check this if relevant in your case: Issues Polling Cisco 6500 Switch - Hardware polling failed: Error 31040 - Timeout
-
HI, Did you save the report and then try to re-run again in report writer? and by addin to Orion main page means how u are trying to add?
-
Additional Polling engine would again have 12k elements capacity....but please refer the latest documentation...
-
whats the exact alert that you are trying to configure?
-
even i have been struggling with many of the HP gear switches and routers.. hardware health either remains unknown state OR doesnt get detected... Custom poller option is there but doesnt help if there are huge number of devices....
-
check this out in case the devices you are monitoring are not in domain: https://support.solarwinds.com/Success_Center/Server_Application_Monitor_(SAM)/Unable_to_access_server_WMI_using_a_local_administrator_account

anyone?

Hi, I am currently 2015.1.2 platform. I am able see the option for interface.
-
I would suggest, just check the access part for the admin account. If full rights are there then you showed not get that error.
-
If u have changed any settings related to ur website then I guess that is where u need to check. I haven't come across this issue but when we enabled SSL for our client, some links were not coming correctly. But the issue was more around certificate for us.
-
you can install on same server where other plugins are installed provided you meet the hardware requirement for main poller and DB.... please check the documentation once...

Hi, Regd your 1st prob, I didn't understand why u want to included node down condition for a alerting on component down. If you want to include that, then u can change the scope of the alert to second option and not all the objects option which you have selected. So in the first part of the condition u can include your…
-
anyone?
-
Or I think if u put another condition stating If node is up for the node reboot condition, it might work...not sure though.
-
Do you really need reboot alerts? If the node down/up is meeting your requirement then u can simply disable the alert.
-
You will need to setup auto discovery and specify if you want to add the newly discovered items automatically or just discover and give u an option to add only the one's you need. Acc to me, the option that you are showing in screenshot is only for the time when u are adding the devices using the Network Sonar Wizard so…

I had faced this one or two times...sometimes its coz of the upgrade of how many prod's in process...but it finishes up smoothly at the end. And as HolyGuacamole suggested, it can be skipped as well.

this is the cmd run on linux device itself via putty session:

Are you getting only for this alert? I had faced similar issue when we integrated Solarwinds to another tool for forwarding events. I had approached to customer support and what I was told that due to some global un-acceptable characters, this becomes an issue. For ex: an extra space or some special characters.
-
Forgot to mention one thing though. After the upgrade, i m seeing the NTA and SWIS serivce getting terminated unexpectedly. Not sure if anyone else has also come across the same. I m trying to check in the community and will update incase i get any information.
-
We upgraded to 11.5.2 recently and havent come across any issues.
-
you can configure a report and try... even performance analysis tab can be used to get granular information....

Hi aLTeReGo One question on DB. We have proposed a setup for new customer where Solarwinds will be on HA and DB will also be in HA using Windows cluster concept. There will be 2 DCs in this case. So i just wanted to know that Solarwinds will not pose any issues in terms of lag or connectivity right no matter which DB it…
-
HI aLTeReGo One very basic question on this scenario. When the DB is unavailable for any reason. All the polling to devices will continue but the updates will be queued and pushed to DB once available? And where does the queuing exactly gets piled up in this case? So later when i pull the data it will show everything?
-
Did this work? I have a requirement to alert for mount point.... I did try the same trigger with status Up, but its not identifying anything....
-
Refer this if it can help.. its not exactly what you are looking for but might work out.. PerfStack - Real-Time Polling - Because Time is The Only Constant
