Hi RichardLetts You have mentioned that currently you are using Solarwinds for monitoring the Aruba Wireless devices... Is it possible for you to share more details like what all can be achieved? Does it cover basic monitoring and how much do we miss out when compare to Airwave? I have been tasked to provide details about…

Thanks vinay.by I had already checked the thread but not sure if that license is still valid... alexslv By any chance you know if the DR license u mentioned in your thread is still provided by Solarwinds? I have submitted a ticket but still wanna check with you... and any suggestions from your side on this query that i…

RichardLetts Thanks first of all for responding so quick... Coming to your 1st suggestion on SQL AlwaysOn--> As i mentioned i dont have shared storage available between both DC's. I was mainly looking for the severity info to be passed as part of the trap..but got to know that it cannot be sent via trap.. I am looking for a table which i contact to get the polled data so that it can be projected in other tool which will be shown in a graphical format. you can consider this like an integration. We are not looking for aggregated data. Is there way to know which table to the data goes in before being aggregated? Can you share…

I would be interested to know if anyone has done it coz this can help in many scenarios... using a Shared DB for 1 Orion instance is fine but havent heard the same DB server having separate DB instance for separate Orion setups...
-
Yes that's the only option left I guess... thanks for the help...

I was trying for Polling engine actually...that's when I found this issue...

I tried all filters, but it shows only some default variables..i cant even find simple variable names like Node name, interface name, polling engine related, etc... Not sure whats wrong...

Hi Amrita, I am still waiting for my tech team to confirm on OS upgrade plan... However, we did do a migrate of Solarwinds App and DB from old VMs to new VMs since it was being moved to different network.. This was successful and i just followed the steps given the guide... Although there are some points which are not…

chrispaap If i prefer a standalone VMAN then i would still need two separate servers for installing VIM and the DB server, right? And then integrate the VMAN instance with VIM server.

Hi, I have one question. In your screenshot you have also included a condition of node- which means u don't disk space alert from those, right? Is that working for you? I have a requirement where there are 500 nodes but only for 300 nodes I need to alert for disk space. Did try few combinations but doesn't seem to work...

11.5.3 isn't released right? On 11-Feb-2016 8:12 am, "blanczak" <

Actually m bit new to this setup that m working on. We dont have failover configured here so i assume that could be the reason for assigning critical nodes to more than one polling engine.
-
Yes we were using that. But this is regarding an integartion to other tool. So at the receiving end of other tool, it stil comes as a duplicate entry. But we figured out that there were some alerts created which were not having correct conditions.
-
This worked perfectly for me.... was able to test it yesterday for a new customer... thanks for sharing it,,,
-
yes this option i m aware but dont want to use it.
-
So where can we limit for the nodes on which we want to alert? Will it be in the query itself? On 09-Apr-2016 6:15 am, "RichardLetts" <

Thanks for the details.. component method also wont work for me as the number of guest VMs are too many... Will try to somehow convince customer to upgrade VMAN in order to meet the requirement.

Hi folks, Is there any way to know whether the jobs have actually got processed or not? I m getting a notification stating UDT polling jobs are still running. Is this something to worry about?
